I’m glad I live in Northeast WI. At the most, we have severe blizzards and cold weather. But I’d rather have that than flooding, earthquakes, and twisters.
No. It's not a question of levees being breached with the subsequent inundation of large areas. Memphis proper is on high ground up against the river, and the river is creeping higher, with only one foot or less to go before the predicted crest. The areas susceptible to flooding are well known, and the impact is gradual.
“The geniuses down there are already diverting water into Lake Pontchartrain.”
So you are insulting the US Army Corps of Engineers? They designed and maintain the Mississippi basin flood control system, in case you didn’t know. You don’t seem to know much of anything except where to find male strippers. What does that say about you?
By the way, if you type in “Memphis strip clubs” in Google, you come up with 7 listings. If you type in “New Orleans strip clubs” you come up with 3. I guess those Memphis Baptists love their strip clubs.
Amen! I'll take my long cold winters and short cool summers any day. Lived 15 years in southern MN, and I do NOT like their climate!
Glad someone agrees with me. ;)
