1) I support a woman's "right to choose," therefore I cannot support FR.
2) I support "gay rights," therefore I cannot support FR.
3) I support "illegal immigration rights," therefore I cannot support FR.
4) I think guns are dangerous and so support "reasonable" gun control, therefore I cannot support FR.
5) I support government provided health care, therefore I cannot support FR.
6) I think we should all pay our "fair share" and so support higher taxes for the wealthy, therefore I cannot support FR.
7) I think many times government can provide the best solution, therefore I cannot support FR.
8) I think the constitution is fine, but when more government control is needed it just gets in the way, therefore I cannot support FR.
9) I think all this talk about God-given rights is fundamentalist extremism, therefore I cannot support FR.
10) I support MY free speech rights and FR won't allow me to post my support for any of the above, therefore I cannot support FR.
Thank you very much, Tax-chick!!
Obama is honest
Thank YOU for giving me someone to tell (other than my mother ;-) when Der Prinz walked in the door at noon on a Thursday saying his job had vanished after 7-1/2 years. We got everything from “Do you need food?” to “Call this IT headhunter!” along with jokes and cat pictures.
FReepers also taught me to grow cilantro, last summer, and now I have about 40 square feet of cilantro forest ... and spreading!
Don’t forget the one about support for that Rudy guy.
*snicker*
I saw that headline and without checking the author or anything else was ready to come in ‘guns blazing’. Dang 2nd time this week I’ve been ready to do battle over a thread with a double meaning.
Anyway, touche’ Jim, those people should not even be here. Amazingly, they are and are stealthy and may ‘give’ to FR.
Personally, I would add another: If you are going to denigrate Sarah Palin based on lies and innuendos, ummmm you probably shouldn’t be here. NOT to say FR is ‘endorsing Sarah Palin’, (although I did see somewhere that this is “Palin Country” AND I also saw THE kiss (finally), in no way would that indicate a full ‘endorsement’.)
Anyway, thanks again for the clarity.
PS I think a “Why I joined and believe in Free Republic” would make an extremely interesting thread. :)
(Yes, I donated.)
11. I tried to support FR, got all the way to the signout, and FR asked me for my telephone number.
???Why do you need my telephone number???
I backed out and declined to support FR for this round of quarterly giving.

Well said Jim,
I hope the dopes get this,
TIME TO DONATE TO FREEREPUBLIC.COM
The credit card processing company required us to ask for a phone number. Thank you very much.
I believe that it’s your credit card company that requires your phone number, but I may be wrong. However, I’ve given my phone number numerous times and unfortunately, Jim has never called me. Go figure. :)
You are welcome, patriot.
It ain’t much, but I signed up for monthly, and I guess every little bit helps.
Why should I support FR when Obama gives me all that I need?
My phone number is on my check, and he never calls me, either.
If you send me a check with your phone number on it I’ll call you...
kidding :)
I’ll let my kids talk to you. Kidding ...
Yep. There are some who believe they are owed a free ride because they disagree with FR policy. Rather than be a freeloading complainer, donate or leave.
We’re in.
