Two top U.N. envoys on Friday publicly urged the United States to be more forthcoming with information in order to address human rights concerns about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
The U.N.'s special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Christof Heyns, and the special rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, Martin Scheinin, suggested that the raid carried out in Pakistan early Monday morning may have been legal under international law. However, they said the U.S. should prove that by releasing more details about the operation.
"In respect of the recent use of deadly force against Osama bin Laden, the United States of America should disclose the supporting facts to allow an assessment in terms of international human rights law standards. For instance it will be particularly important to know if the planning of the mission allowed an effort to capture Bin Laden," Heyns and Scheinin said in a statement.

How long do you think it will be before Obama says, "These weren't the SEALs I thought they were", and turns them over to the U.N.?
Please throw them out of NYC now.
Yeah. The UN is nothing but another tool in the arsenal of our enemies. Mostly funded by the U.S of course.
Hey UN.
I got your supporting facts right here!
I have no aspirations to consider myself a ‘Global Citizen’. No thanks. The UN can shove it.
Probably not long now. I've said all along that the most likely reason for all the lies about a straightforward operation was because Barack Hussein was setting those SEALS up to throw under the bus if necessary. Also, he's really working toward a sympathy bunp by ticking off our allies, therebye getting them to demand proof of Binny's demise. It only worked for President Bush because every liberal in the world viscerally hates him. Not many are going to believe that about Obama.
The Taliban declared Osama is dead - what else do they need? Even I am now starting to wonder if he is really dead.
We ARE the United Nations! LOL We set it up, wrote the charter, fund the place, built their building on Rockefeller-donated land and have a veto in the security council. This is Kabuki theatre for the Arab street, it can’t be anything else.
OTOH, as much as I despise those international bodies, I wouldn't mind seeing a globalist like O hoisted by his own petard.
Yes. One of the worst of which is Citizen of the World Obama. US to release bin Laden home videos, propaganda tapes, officials say. Yet he won't release proof of Binny's death. Does that sound like the act of our friend?
From me to the UN, “Go to Alaska” (Thats UPPER YOU ESS!)
Seems to me all the supporting facts were buried under a million tons of steel at Ground Zero. Maybe they should go on a walking tour sometime.
Globama and his UN pals can get lost. Anybody who subjugates our citizens to some 'World Court' is treasonous from my perspective.
This must be what Senator Hatch was speaking about last night on FOX. He was furious. Wish I could recall his exact words - it was priceless.
I’d love to be president just so i could tell the UN to go to hell.
That’s a good point. So where are the calls for Obama to be tried at the Hague as a war criminal that we KNOW we’d be hearing if this had happened during the Bush administration? Strangely muted.
Obama is going to drag this out until November 2012. We will get a steady stream of revelations about OBL to keep the “gutsy call” alive until election day. Obama will be spiking the football once a week for some time to come. And you can bet that the 10th anniversary of 9/11 will be a mega event with Obama basking in the glow of his triumph as a reluctant warrior. In the meantime, the economy will still be in the toliet. More bread and circuses.
There’s at least 12 different accounts of what really happened....he didn’t have a gun, he was reaching for a gun..he was buried at sea....he was thrown out of a helo in the mountains....blah blah. My old saying is, “Tell the truth, there’s less to remember!”.
I have a statement for these two - F.U
Being a leftist means never having to say you're sorry. We see it time and time again.
