"I think all it would do is to basically fuel a lot of unnecessary discussions and, most importantly, unnecessary distractions," Cain said.
Calling the death of the 9/11 mastermind a "major achievement on behalf of the United States of America," Cain said the country should now change its focus to other issues, including the economy and national security as a whole.
Cain's comments came in a Fox News interview ahead of his appearance at the first Republican presidential debate in Greenville, S.C.

Any potential candidate who says one freaking nice word about Zero has a huge black mark against his name.
I believe many of the candidates feel Obama is using this as a distraction from the other awful things he is doing.
I am all ready to forget this Osama stuff and move to the real issues.
The man is a pathological liar and we could spend too many more days speculating on all the lies.
I say strew Osama and strew Obama. Lets get down to how Obama is ruining the US.
I wouldn’t drop the bin laden thing altogether, just the photo issue. The photo itself is meaningless and there are so many other questions surrounding the raid.
Also, as you said, there are so many other issues he can be pounded on like the fact that he promised to raise America’s stature in the world and now we have the fewest allies since before WWI. The explosion of radicalism in the mideast at his urging for “democracy” and the increasing isolation of Israel.
There are an incredible number of issues that he can be flogged with.

I think that either one of two things is going on. Either he’s is dead (possibly for some time) or like you said, he’s being interrogated.
I love Herman but I just disagree with him on this one.
Keep this up, if some favorite candidate happens to disagree with you on at least one issue you’ll soon find nobody to vote for.
Any candidate who can't see what & who Obama really is & finds it OK to praise him, is off my list. Plain & simple. We don't need more arse kissing pubbies!
Yep, praising Obama ON ONE THING becomes arse kissing to the detriment of all the policies that possible candidate might espouse.
