Pakistanis say U.S. shot bin Laden in "cold blood"

(Reuters) - A senior Pakistani security official said U.S. troops killed Osama bin Laden in "cold blood", fuelling a global controversy and straining a vital relationship Washington was trying to repair on Thursday.

And Pakistan's army, in its first comment since Monday's raid, threatened to halt cooperation with its military sponsor if it repeated what it called a violation of sovereignty.

But Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Washington was still anxious to maintain its alliance with Islamabad.

"It is not always an easy relationship. You know that," she said.

"But, on the other hand, it is a productive one for both our countries and we are going to continue to cooperate between our governments, our militaries, our law-enforcement agencies, but most importantly between the American and Pakistani people."

The "supersmarts" in this Obama WH had been giving us hints all along.
"Time-Limited, Scope-Limited, Kinetic Military Action"
Now that this past weekend's event speaks VOLUMES about what that phrase means. And it fits the description perfectly, I am giving credit where it is due. That was one H3LL of a kinetic action.

Yeah, it was well thought out, planned ahead of time and done step by deliberate step. The dude was a walking target and had been for years. Afghanistan refused to turn the dude over when it had the chance because he was their “guest” and it wouldn’t be hospitable.

Now, on to Omar.

“is quickly becoming a PR liability for the president”

I disagree; so far.
We are just hearing a lot “little dogs nipping at the heels” so far in my opinion.

The internet allows minor information to flow so fast in this day and age and give it credibility.

Americans need to rejoice in the fact of what has happened.

And you know what,, he wasn’t unarmed. The slighest move on his part could VERY REASONABLY be expected to detonate a bomb.

It’s well known not to tell a suspected suicide bomber to raise his hands. That small act can be the trigger to set off the bomb.

Osama set out to be the most dangerous terrorist on earth. He built an empire on suicide belts. And he succeeded. And that put him in a position that he gets almost no leeway.
If he isnt naked in the shower,,, nothing short of a bullet to the head makes sense. He is an immense danger until he is turned off.
It’s silly for them to say he was “unarmed”. The risk to arrest his was extreme, and was not worth risking a single SEAL life.

Why are we giving the Pakis $billions ?

The Pakis have made out like bandits over the $billions we've spent in the area after 9/11, both in direct "aid" and in the local economy from what the US military spends on supplies and support.

I would not be surprised to learn that 9/11 was the idea of the Pak ISI. Follow the money. Who benefits the most from our being bogged down in Afghanistan.

In the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists Act, Congress states:
That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.
Pakistan has been demonstrated to have been harboring Osama bin Laden.

By that act, Pakistan is guilty of an act of war against the United States.

I suspect it all went something like this....

OBL wakes from another restless night when he hears something...

Suddenly, he hears something again and gets up to see what is going on...

Suddenly, the door bursts open... and with pee dripping down his leg OBL hells “I surrender” as he puts his hands into the air... followed almost immediately by a double tap to his head!

Then the soldier stands over his dying body and says something like “this is for all the people you killed on 9-11 MotherF*&@er ! and shoots him once more though the heart.

‘Cold bloody’ is better applied to 9/11.

‘Heart warming’ for billions is appropriate for the killing of OBL.

I agree. The efforts to milk 9/11 association and credibility from this are also making him look smaller instead of grander. This is like the kid wearing his father’s coat, and attempting to speak with a bass voice.

This, the weird BC release, and the attempts to echo Bush smells like fear. One wonders - why?

My regret is that he didn’t have to suffer longer, like the 9/11 innocent civilian victims.

From what John Bolter said the other night on FOX, we give them money because they have nuclear weapons. We do not want them to align with someone else against us.

Extortion money

“Hillary Clinton said Washington was still anxious to maintain its alliance with Islamabad.”

Why? Do we need them? We do not. In fact, it’s time to cut their funds off. And NO apologizing for going in unannounced to bin Laden’s compound. Never.
