The Palins were in Alabama today helping out with disaster relief in the wake of last weeks killer tornado outbreak. Via Samaritans Purse:
Todd Palin, four-time winner of the Iron Dog off-road snowmobile race across Alaska, along with his wife, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, joined Samaritans Purse volunteers to help tornado victims in Birmingham, Alabama, on Wednesday.
I came here to work hard, Todd said. Theres no point in being here if youre not going to work hard.
After getting a safety briefing and talking with volunteers, the Palins joined a crew helping homeowner J.L. Price recover from the storm. They help haul off brush and debris, and, with the rest of the team, prayed with Mr. Price.
It feels great to be working out here, Sarah said. I hope more people sign up with Samaritans Purse so they can be blessed like I am today.
The Price home took a direct hit from a tornado, and sustained a lot of damage.
Its hard to imagine anyone surviving this, Todd said. What a terrifying time it must have been for them. This just really gets you.
While going through the debris, Todd found a wooden plaque bearing the Price name and nailed it to a tree, one of the few things remaining standing on the property.
This is the third time the Palins have participated in Samaritans Purse relief efforts.
In December, Todd, Sarah, and daughter Bristol joined Franklin Graham for a two-day visit to Haiti. They surveyed our work with cholera patients, handed out Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts to children, and visited a shelter community Samaritans Purse built in the aftermath of the January earthquake.
In 2009, the governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee joined Graham to hand out food parcels to families in Alaskan villages facing hunger because of a harsh winter.
I appreciate their willingness to bring hope to people in need, Graham said

She has crisscrossed the country giving of herself and helping others and yet we still get trolls on her demeaning her for helping families in AL.
Thank you! He pipes in alot like that. Kinda like Pissant did? Wonder if its the same person???/
The silly Palin bashing on FR, which is just an extension of what the Liberal Media has gotten away with, is just a ridiculous waste of time.
I have noticed that those bashing Governor Palin never put forth a viable Candidate or attack the Public Statements made by her over the past two years.
There is a lot of fertile ground for them to disagree with and criticize, but it all comes down to them accusing her of being a Media Whore seeking fame and fortune or her being too “polarizing”.
If telling the truth is polarizing, I must be one polarizing son of a bitch.
The later photo showing him surrounded by the Sycophant Media who took the first photo really told the story.
No one I talk to is buying Zero’s games. They’re too busy trying to feed their families in Obama’s third-world economy.

Ageed! Thank you, thank you for that! Well said!
I just use the word Obamaville. Short, sweet and petite.
Case in point...uber-lefty Sean Penn spends a helluva lot more time than a few hours and a helluva lot more money than few dollars working in Haiti. We see a picture of him there and he gets dumped on for being nothing but a publicity hound.
Palin spends just a few hours and maybe some of her own money in Alabama. The pictures are posted within hours for all to see and she's a saint with the purist of motives.
I say nonsense.
Now, if we found out months later through some obscure source that she had made such a trip totally without cameras or facebook postings that would be different.
That my boy is the definition of a photo-op.
No matter who the subject happens to be.
And, I don't know about you but I was raised not to highlight my good deeds or seek recognition for them. But then, I'm not a celebrity.
She’s a public figure, if she goes to an event she’s going to be photographed, and the pics are going to get uploaded to Facebook. Sarah’s showing leadership by going there and showing that she cares. Our current POTUS went there last week in a shirt and tie and he had a “hearty laugh” after a guy swatted a bee on him. Sarah walks the walk and she talks the talk that’s why so many people are drawn to her.
Obviously you have seen something in Governor Palin that makes you think she and her family are just a bunch of selfish narcissistic schemers.
I see someone who could have written a book, made a little money and lived a full life with Family and Friends without being attacked day in and day out for sharing her Beliefs.
Actions speak louder than words, and I for one am convinced that Governor Palin has a love for God and Country that is sorely missing in today's Political Class, if not a large portion of the Electorate.
If you can't tell the difference between Governor Palin and Barack Obama, there is nothing more to say.
Sean Penn comes home and supports people who steal money from one class of Citizens to give to others, Citizens and Illegal Aliens alike.
Mr. Penn might have good intentions when he shows up to help the poor, but his belief system is in direct conflict with what he is trying to accomplish. The road is paved with good intentions, but defining those intentions is a bit tricky.
I can assure you Sean Penn doesn't motivate the Left to help the particular cause when he blows into town. He just creates and enforces their “us against them” mentality.
First you use Daily Kos talking points to attack Palin with on other threads, now you are using Sean Penn as a hero to look up to.
thanks for the clarity.
This is Palin's third time with Samaritan's Purse. Good to see them helping people even if it's for one or two days at a time. Good to see Samaritan's Purse getting the publicity.
I have a kid currently involved with a similar samaritan type of group.
You’re simply a disingenuous schmuck.
me too..........
So folks, how is that hopey changey thingy working out for ya in Obamaville?
Thanks, think I have found my email tag line.
