TILBURG, NETHERLANDS (BNO NEWS) -- Two Dutch men on Tuesday morning attempted to file a police complaint against the United States for carrying out a secret mission inside Pakistan that led to the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, local media reported.
The Brabants Dagblad newspaper reported that the two men, 30-year-old Ruud Snoeren and 29-year-old Terry Flohr, went to a police station in the southern city of Tilburg in an attempt to file a police complaint.
According to the newspaper, the men were frustrated by the celebrations and congratulations from around the world after Bin Laden's death was made public. "We are really angry," Snoeren, who is a jurist, said.
"There is a suspect of a murder, who has confessed on television and who has the evidence in his hands but dumped it in the sea. And the whole world applauds it," Snoeren told the newspaper, referring to the fact that Bin Laden's body was buried at sea.
Officers at the Tilburg police station heard the men, but decided to not accept the complaint. "We have had a conversation and registered it. It is not that we do not take the case seriously, but this is not something for Tilburg police," a police spokesman told the local Omroep Brabant television station. "We are not going to commit police resources on this."

"We are really angry," Snoeren, who is a jurist, said. And stoned out of your gourds.

Right, because of course Holland’s courts have jurisdiction over the entire planet. What nonsense. OTOH it’ll be interesting to watch the reactions of American leftists who gloated about the possibility of Bush facing nonsensical legal charges from nonsensical European courts now that Obama is coming under the same attacks.

What is it with the Dutch?
Long and illustrious history with this sort of thing, I'd note:
Stephen Ambrose's "Band of Brothers", Chapter "Postwar Careers", page 295 reads:
"In December 1991, Gordon saw a story in the Gulfport Sun Herald. It related that Mayor Jan Ritsema of Eindhoven, Holland had refused to meet General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, because the commander of the UN forces in the Gulf War had "too much blood on his hands. "Ritsema said of Schwarzkopf, "He is the person who devised the most efficient way possible to kill as many people as possible."
Gordon wrote to Mayor Ritsema: "On September 17, 1944 I participated in the large airborne operation which was conducted to liberate your country. As a member of Company E, 506th PIR, I landed near the small town of Son. The following day we moved south and liberated Eindhoven. While carrying out our assignment, we suffered casualties. That is war talk for bleeding. We occupied various defense positions for over two months. Like animals, we lived in holes, barns, and as best we could. The weather was cold and wet. In spite of the adverse conditions, we held the ground we had fought so hard to capture. The citizens of Holland at that time did not share your aversion to bloodshed when the blood being shed was that of the German occupiers of your city. How soon can we forget. History has proven more than once that Holland could again be conquered if your neighbour, the Germans, are having a dull weekend and the golf links are crowded. Please don't allow your country to be swallowed up by Liechtenstein or the Vatican as I don't plan to return. As of now, you are on your own."
(one note, the above account is slightly inaccurate as tt was Mayor Jan Ritsema of Bergen, not Eindhoven, who refused to meet with General Schwarzkopf)

There are two things I can’t stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures, and the Dutch!

I am sure Eric Holder, once he received the international warrant, will be willing to hand Obama over to the international court (just like he was almost willing to do to Cheney and Bush).

No problem...we’ll send SEAL Team 6 to straighten this out...and Dick Cheney.
You know he’s in command. They are his assassination squad, or so the left has said many times before.

It’s another one I can’t remember if you stole it from me or I stole it from you. Probably I stole it. Sigh... Thanks again, friend.
