Obama has no credibility...
things like this is why...
A series of top-secret briefings at the White House on Sunday afternoon conveyed, with rising certainty, news of the operations success. At 7:01 pm, the president was told there was a high probability that bin Laden was dead.
—We’ve seen the alleged pictures of them watching in ‘real time’ the raid that allegedly killed bin Laden..yet Obama had to be informed it was a ‘high probability’ bin laden was dead...
I call BS.

Obama taking credit for the Osama killing is like Mayor Bloomberg taking credit for the drop in violence in Shall Issue CCW states. Disgusting.

From yesterday's Daily Presidential Tracking Poll on Rasmussen (the most recent one currently posted on Rasmussen):
"Americans today are celebrating the news that Osama bin Laden is dead. The update on the presidents Job Approval ratings is based upon interviews completed before that news was released. President Obamas ratings have remained remarkably steady over the past 18 months through a whole series of major news events."
The only other Rasmussen headline is that Obama's one month approval has remained "steady".
I'm sorry, but Drudge headlines just aren't a very reliable source these days.

recall that in the summer of 1979 Carter received no bounce from the Arab-Israeli peace accords at Camp David — people were upset about gas lines and food prices.

The photos were clearly staged as a PR tool. Just look at the blank screens on the computers in front of the people sitting closest to the camera.

Obama was in his golf shoes in the Sitch Room (this is what AP is reporting) when this was all going down.
Imagine Bush in his golf shoes and attire while this was going down? Please!

I take it that Drudge has a heads-up from Rasmussen, hence the “developing...”
And I note the total lack of snap polls from the MSM is very telling.

It is the economy!! Some of my friends said, “wait, in 2 weeks this will be forgotten (OBL)” and I give a week at the most.
To: Berlin_Freeper
Of course he will get a bounce, and it will be substantial. It will vanish over a month or tow, but he’ll get at least a 10 point improvement in his numbers, possibly more, in the next few days.

Not surprised.
I finally figured out what really bothers me about him, besides his Marxist ideas. He's completely disingenuous...a robot of sorts.
Every person I know that has vivid memories of 9/11, Republican/Democrat, Conservative/Liberal has some kind of emotional reaction to it. No matter what the reaction is. There's something. When Bush stood at Ground Zero in nothing but some Wranglers and a rain jacket holding that megaphone, he was just one of us. A normal guy as pissed off and emotionally charged as us. And what that said was 'I'm not behind you, I'm not ahead you...I'm with you.' No suit, no tie, no podium, no teleprompter...just a man speaking from the heart and encouraging and comforting us. Letting us know we aren't alone and we shouldn't apologize as though our virtues and beliefs are wrong.
The biggest terrorist-related news in 9 years, a moment anyone who has read a newspaper in the past 10 years would have an emotional reaction to, Obama stood up there like he was calling bingo numbers. Nothing. Not a smile, not a steady stare, not a head nod. Just a speech. Another empty, egotistical speech, read from a teleprompter and delivered with little to no manner or gesture.
He gets more emotional over NBA playoff games.
If he's truly "one of us", as his birth certificate states, you would think his "home land" being attacked and catching the monster who did it, would warrant something more than what he gave.
He absolutely disgusts me. And all it says to me is that either he's as anti-American as Bin Laden was or the whole thing is fake and he's scared of giving himself away.

The one good thing that Obama has done cannot make up for all the harm he has done otherwise.
I am just going to go ahead and say this...All these people want to give credit where credit is due. That’s fine. I will as well. However, ANY president would have made the same choice I’m certain with the intel they had. It is the intelligence agencies and the military that deserve the credit, not Obama for making a “call”.
Obama is opportunist above all else. His motivation for getting this right is more to do with how it would help HIM not help his country. Of that I am convinced.

Obama golf shoes could have been clue to bin Laden
AP - WASHINGTON Golf shoes in the Oval Office could have been a clue.
President Barack Obama usually goes to the residence quarters of the White House after putting in a few weekend hours on the links. But he made an unusual beeline for his West Wing office last Sunday that raised eyebrows only in retrospect.

Interesting. He is wearing a golf shirt under his jacket. I wonder if he just threw it on over his golf clothes?

True enough. Maybe Drudge has a source at Rasmussen on an unreleased poll. I can’t believe he’d run with a headline that was so blatently misleading.

His ratings will be like hitting a lead filled golf ball.
The harder he tries to hit it the more damage he suffers.

There may be a general sentiment that this is “Bush’s War”, that’s the way the left has characterized it.
If it’s “Bush’s War”, then credit goes to Bush.

You would have to be pretty damn stupid to think that Obama wont get a bounce from this news. I was thinking the same thing. There will be a bounce. America only focuses on whats going on at the moment. At the moment it's being reported on CNN/ABC/MSNBC that Obama is the one to capture Bin Laden. This will give him a bump b/c people are idiots.

No dead osama bounce for the WON! Maybe the citizenry A. have big question about the rush “burial at sea” barbara steisand, B. add on the “proper mooselimb burial” for the scumbag that better deserved to rot in public view and C. the accumulation of fecal aroma emminating from anything associated with nobama.

If Bin Laden was living in the compound for 5-6 years as is being reported, when did the U.S. learn he was living there? Did Bush know? And do you think this operation was a given? Remember Carter and the hostages? That didn’t go well at all. Those who think this was an easy operation are not living in the real world. Lots could have gone wrong and American SEALS could have been killed. Can’t we just be grateful things went well and Bin Laden is dead?
