Peter Mansbridge saying looking like a Conservative majority, but hesitates by saying a number of ridings "in play yet".

A dismaying and unfortunate aspect for the once powerful Liberal Party. It looks as if the New Democratic Party will form the opposition. I did hear 164 leading and elected, being seats for the Conservatives. Needing 155 seats ( I am told) for a majority.

Bloc Quebecois taking an awful beating by the NDP, in Quebec. I heard only four leading Bloc Quebecois ridings Mansbridge said.

Don’t shed too many tears for Liberals - they created this election, so they got what they deserved.

But the BQ ... man, they went from 75 to 4?? They’re not even an official party in Parliament now - no more taxpayer dollars for you, Gilles!

They won 167 as of this morning with 103 for the Dippers, 31 for the Liberals and 3 for the Bloc.

That should allow them to get much of the agenda that was blocked the last several years through the new House Of Commons easily. Its a comfortable majority to work with for the next four years.
