The circumstances surrounding Osama bin Laden's reported death raise urgent questions over how the US is so sure it got its man.
US officials have said DNA testing has proved the al Qaeda leader was killed in a villa in Pakistan.
They have also identified him by facial recognition.
But photographs of Bin Laden after his reported death have not been released.
The release of a photograph purporting to show bin Laden's corpse - which was later confirmed to be a fake - added to the confusion.
Journalists have not yet had the opportunity to ask more than a few questions of the Obama administration about details of Bin Laden's death.
The announcement is not the first time the world has heard of Bin Laden's death. Claims that the US and Britain kept up a pretence he was alive in order to continue their war on terror have been dismissed as conspiracy theories.
It has been suggested that bin Laden died nearly 10 years ago during the battle for Tora Bora in Afghanistan, either from a US bomb or from kidney disease.

It is my humble opinion Osama bin Laden has been “room temp” dead months ago. In addition,this is a feather in the cap for Obama in 2012.

Sometimes no amount of “proof”, DNA, or photographs will be enough to convince the conspiracy theorists and anti-govt zealots of his death.
The point is that FReepers are not the only ones asking questions — there is nothing wrong and it doesn’t take a tin-foil hat to ask questions, as long as iron-clad facts are forthcoming to answer those questions.
Can we just put this to rest already? OBL was killed on May 2nd 2011. I don’t believe a word that comes out of Obama’s mouth but I do believe that the SEAL team would not lie. He is dead. We should be rejoicing not putting on tin foil hats because he was killed while Obama is in office.
Yes they have his State of New Mexico drivers license, his Califorina and Massachusetts EBT cards as well as voter registation cards for 33 of 57 states that ACORN issued to him.
Hey, look, it’s not like we’re asking him to release his long form birth certificate. Just show us the dead guy’s pictures. We’d like to see for ourselves.

IF Obama is telling the truth, then why shove the body overbard? Only to stir up divisive and conflicting ideas.

We should never be afraid to ask questions, regardless of what the scolds say.
DNA evidence is pretty damned concrete as far as evidence goes.

At this point I’m not real concerned about proof. I’ve believed that he died years ago but as we learn more I think its possible that his silence was a condition of whatever deal he had with the Pakistanis.

I find it more troubling that so many people seem to be taking Obama’s word on this sans any physical evidence.
