CAIRO (AP) Muslim clerics said Monday that Osama bin Laden's burial at sea was a violation of Islamic tradition that may further provoke militant calls for revenge attacks against American targets.
Although there appears to be some room for debate over the burial as with many issues within the faith a wide range of Islamic scholars interpreted it as a humiliating disregard for the standard Muslim practice of placing the body in a grave with the head pointed toward the holy city of Mecca.
Sea burials can be allowed, they said, but only in special cases where the death occurred aboard a ship.

Islamic scholars being concerned that the Muslims, or any of the others, murdered on 9-11 were interned according to the dictates of their religion.
Wonder what religion were the 6 American contractors who were drug through the street, hung on a bridge and burned? Islamic scholars did you care to comment on the burning of infidels? You never appease or please islamists so don’t bother.

I just hope we weighed down the SOB with some rotting pig carcasses with a couple of 105mm shells inside them.

It is not an approved burial method.
Better than the Gen. Pershing method, but not by much.

I have heard that the body must be washed before burial.
Get two teams on the deck of the Vinson with saltwater fire hoses...the object is to use the fire hoses to push OBL through the other side’s line using your hoses...
That would definitely get him “clean”.

I’ve also read that it’s OK to apply perfume to the burial sheet.
In this case I truly hope a few Rangers, Seals, and Marines were on hand to “apply” said “perfune”.

Did they drop Osama in the drink with a koran in his hand?
If they riot over false rumors of a koran being thrown in the toilet, how do you think they will respond to news that we threw one in the middle of the ocean with a piece of human fecal matter?

Now I REALLLLLLLLLY dont think any of these Islamic "scholars" and "clerics" are in any position to have a say as to what Uncle Sam does or does not do with one of its biggest enemies in history, a renowned terrorist and mass murder. Or I should say, the cadaver of such a scumbag of a person.
So in other words, they can all just zip it! and shut the f up. We're running the show over here. There is no room nor need for their "input" thank you.

Why was Osama Bin Laden given a muslim funeral? We’ve been repeatedly told that he’d not REALLY a muslim. That Osama’s was a false path.

I am sceptic of this burial at sea business. It’s 711 miles to the sea with double the occupants as one copter was down. The most important priority was to get back to base safely. So, we was the base? Unless it was an aircraft carrier, I am sceptical.

I find all of this somewhat unreal.
Last night they said on the cable channels this raid had happened a over a week ago and they needed that time to properly ID the body and run DNA samples.
Now, today, they say the raid happened on Sunday, yesterday, and the body has already been buried at sea.
Now how do we square this with Saddam’s two sons, they were killed in a firefight. We saw the pictures, they did autopsies and I don't think they were buried within the 24 hour time frame Muslims dictate. All the time needed was taken for ID and everything else.
This whole Bin Laden thing smells to high heaven.
Not mention Bin Laden had serious kidney problems that required dialysis. This was a fact even before 9-11.
So how dis this survive so long or did he have a kidney transplant?
I want to see the autopsy report.
