A computer programmer, startled by a helicopter clattering above his quiet Pakistani town early Monday, did what any social-media addict would do: he began sending messages to Twitter.

After liveblogging and speculating for several hours over what happened, it dawned on Athar and those following him that they were witnessing bin Laden's final moments.
"I think the helicopter crash in Abbottabad, Pakistan and the President Obama breaking news address are connected," said one of Athar's followers.
Seven hours after Athar's first tweet, President Barack Obama announced bin Laden's death in an operation by U.S. forces where one helicopter was lost.
"Eight hours and about 35 tweets later, the confirmation came: "Osama Bin Laden killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan," Athar reported. "There goes the neighborhood."

Why did Obama announce a 10:30PM news conference, show up very late and LET IT ALL LEAK? Someone in the WH is unprofessional regardless of this man’s tweeting. This man did not break the news some big mouth inside the WH did before teleprompter appeared with the statement.
I imagine that’s pretty common.

I am guessing the leaks didn’t come from the WH because they wanted their guy to break the news. By the time congress, defense, former presidents, and others were informed privately, it is not surprising to see multiple leaks. No one keeps a secret in DC.
He is obviously part of the conspiracy.
Actually I was following this blow-by-blow last night from the time the WH announced that Obama would be making an (at the time unspecified) announcement.
I think the very first person who can be credited for linking this to bin Laden was Keith Urbahn, who was Rumsfeld's former Chief of Staff, so presumably, the leaks came from within DoD.
That puts this strike on the compound at 4 PM DC time.
Was there any knowledge of it being on route among the Pakistani Intelligence Service around or just prior to 11 AM DC Time — that’s 8 PM on May 1, Pakistan? Just curious.
BHO wanted to upstage the Donald with cheap political theater.

Yeah and last nights reports had US having possession of OBL’s body and now this morning he was buried at sea. I just heard on the car radio minutes ago the WH claiming DNA proves it was OBL. BTW: For years this terrorists name was Osama Bin Laden.
