I”m certain many thoughts of how it all went down have crossed most minds....Wish there was some way we could honor our guys for getting this job done. helicopters make noise and let them know you’re coming. I’d think they’d want to go in quietly and have the element of surprise. maybe the choppers were afterwards to get out.
HEaring on various cables they went in in choppers- one of the choppers crashed (mechanical problem) and they had to stay on the ground in the compound for 40 minutes to destroy chopper and tidy up- get the bodies etc.
bin LAden was shot in the head. 3 other adult men were killed and one woman. The woman was killed because she was used AS A HUMAN SHIELD by one of these cowards. Also killed was one of bin Laden’s sons.
This was a special ops gig from start to finish. I imagine bin Laden is carrying several extra POUNDS of lead..
This was one hell of an operation and I’m in awe of our special forces.

I am reading reports online that it was a helicopter raid by a “small group of US Navy Seals”..
The story is changing a lot, but I heard on Fox we lost one of those Copters due to Mechanical failure during the mission.

Am listening to Aljazzera....seems some are pretty upset that Pakistan allowed and co-operated with this on their soil. And others who are embarrassed now because for so long they denied he was in Pakistan.
And yes...I am very glad there’s celebration at the capital and it’s being piped over Aljazzera....let them see we celebrate when a thug is taken out who has killed thousands...and more importantly let the thugs still alive shudder because they will be next.

I will say- this is the first time in my life I’ve celebrated the death of someone. It’s an odd sensation..but I’ve found I can live with it because of who it is and the hell he brought to the world and to our country.
CNN said the compound was built in 2005 in an area that the Pakistani military generals favor and the compound was over-sized for the neighborhood.
