Obama Golfs for the Fifth Weekend in a Row
The 2011 Obama golf season is off to a a roaring start, with the president headed out today for the fifth time in as many weeks.
This is Obama’s 66th time golfing as president and his eighth time this year.
After a Hawaii vacation session at the beginning of January, this year’s Obama golf season officially got underway with two chilly outings in March. Obama resumed play on April 3, and has hit the links every week since.
While there are no official statistics being kept, it’s probably safe to say that no president has ever golfed five weeks in a row. It’s not even clear that Dwight Eisenhower, who also loved to hit the greens, ever pulled this off.
The weather at Andrews Air Force Base, where the president is playing, is a pleasant 60 degrees, with a chance of rain by mid afternoon, though he should be done by then.
Along with him is his usual posse – junior White House officials Ben Finkenbinder and Marvin Nicholson, and the Energy Department’s David Katz.
Taft is certain to lose his position in the presidential golf sweepstakes.
He might do less harm if he spent every day playing golf.
Perhaps Obama is just trying to give us “hope”.
Lightning kills an average of 100 people and injures 500 annually in the U.S. Five percent of the casualties occur on golf courses.
It doesn’t happen every day, but folks get hit in the head by golf balls, some of those hits prove fatal.
I say let him golf his heart out.... every hour of every day.
A tornado might give him some respect for the victims he just saw (on his way to fundraisers.)
Obama spends a lot of time hanging out with this foursome of young and pretty white men (google an image for Ben Fickenbinder), and no one in the Washington press corps finds it in the least bit news worthy that the president spends so much of his free time with these very junior aides. Nor is the press very interested in who these junior aides are who have so much access to the president - this in a city where access to the president is the name of the game.
I wonder why that is?
Better that the Kenyan has a gay time with his boys on the golf course than being in Washington hatching more marxist havoc and plans to destroy the republic.

As a senator, he commuted some weekends, but mostly the Mrs was left alone to raise the girls. I wonder if he’d stay home more if he’d thrown a boy instead of two girlies?

Spend time with his family?? Don’t be silly. That would cut into his enjoyment. THAT would never do.
