If further evidence were needed of the decline of American network television – aka the “mainstream media” or MSM - look no further than ABC The View’s dumbed down and crass coverage of the royal wedding. The Emmy-award winning show is watched by a large audience on weekday mornings, and its hosts on Friday included Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn.
One of the The View’s co-hosts yesterday, Joy Behar, a controversial liberal “comedian” with her own show on CNN Headline News, thought it would be immensely funny to mock the 85-year old Queen as “a bumble bee with a drinking problem” simply because she was wearing a yellow dress to the wedding of her grandson Prince William. Here is what she said while watching footage of the Queen entering Westminster Abbey – the video can be viewed here:
“A bumble bee with a drinking problem! Holy moly. Who wears yellow? – I’ve never seen a queen wearing yellow. Happy? She looks like a taxi cab – keep that meter running Queenie.”
Behar’s hugely offensive comments, which inexplicably prompted roars of laughter from the audience, were in extremely poor taste, and cruel and mocking in nature towards a public figure who is greatly revered by the British people, and widely admired by most Americans.

It should be considered a badge of honor to be ridiculed by the View hags.
Joy is a gutless coward, just like ALL liberal freaks. They wouldn’t dare say the crap they say to the person’s face, because they know what will happen to them. Instead they insult people in the company of their liberal buddies who they know will applaud their stupidity
I’m no fan of Joy Behar or the View. OTOH I don’t understand the fascination with what amounts to a multigenerational welfare family. If they lived in a housing project, we’d be telling them to get off the dole and get a job.
Pay no mind, Ma’am. Mrs. Behar is what I believe your subjects in the East End refer to as a Berkeley Hunt.
Behar always acts jealous of things she can't have or people she can't be.. That's why she hates Sarah Palin, pretty and powerful, something she'll never be.

Joy, insulting respected public figures is wrong, even if you are miffed that BigEars and Bargearse weren’t invited.
Poor Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The rest of the gargoyles on The View are vile, bitter, shallow, vapid buffoons. I expect classless commentary from those beasts.
However, I was watching the affair on FOX News and I have to say that Sheppard Smith was as equally offensive as those clowns on The View. He was so insulting, snide, and sarcastic. I really don’t understand it. I don’t expect people to bow down to kings and queen. I do expect that while in their country at least respect the importance of a national event as the event is unfolding. Do your commentary the day after.
And the bottom line is that it was a wedding between two young people. I’d like to know how Shepard Smith or the gargoyles on The View would react if the media had negative things to say during their wedding.
The Queen is a very sharp lady. I know for a fact she reads in detail minute classified dispatches in the diplomatic/military area. I believe she knows exactly what’s going on in Libya whereas Obummer likely gets his facts from his pollster.
Joy who? Never heard of her...add that name to the “no fly list”...Want America to be safe from any $hit from flying.

Yes it is.I find that if someone mentions they like the View I tend to instantly not like them.I know they have to not so smart to enjoy that show.
That blood yielded the seeds of the greates country in the world. So, I for one will not be losing any sleep over comments made about some 'highly regarded public figure' from Britain.
Further, for the FReepers mortally upset at this..... how is commenting on the queen's dress any different than "Caption Michelle O'largeass" threads on FR?

The crass carcasses occupying seats in "The View" audience are imbeciles. Think about it. No red blooded American would want to be caught dead in that audience? It's a show designed specifically for audiences with very very low IQ's.
Of course one of the imbecilic hosts would demean the Queen of England. She would do so just to hear other imbeciles laugh at her profanity.
The View is a classic, and classless, display of imbeciles. Yet Nile, chides their audience's classlessness, as inexplicable?
No Nile, their classlessness is not inexplicable. It is exactly what one would expect from such a classless show.
