KATE'S wedding bouquet was placed on the grave of the unknown warrior at Westminster Abbey today in line with royal tradition, a palace spokeswoman said.

The new Duchess of Cambridge asked for her green and white bouquet to be left on the tomb, which holds the remains of a soldier who died in World War I but has come to symbolise all of Britain's war dead.

Very nice tradition. Though I didn’t care for the bouquet - too sparce and too understated - Needed a few white accent flowers.

Kate Middleton’s homegrown bouquet of lily of the valley follows royal codeBride chooses seasonal flowers that could have been plucked from an English country garden and OK’d by Queen Victoria

Not yet - it’s a 24 hour flight each way, so when I have to do it, I try to stay for at least a week or so. Fortunately my school bought the argument that its good for the history master to attend such an event and refresh his experiences of British history, to make it more real for the boys :)

LOL!

I am very familiar with that long flight. I work in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia and it is a 50-hour trip from my driveway to the tarmac in Sentani. Have to make it worth you while!

Will you be spending time with old school chums and other friends while in GB?

I like to make fun of the royals, but have to say, what a classy thing to do. Very nice.

I admire and approve her leaving the flowers. However, I am like you, I care absolutely nothing for the British, or any other, royals for that matter. We fought two wars to rid ourselves of the rule of the English king and won, thus we hold no rule of them. The personal conduct of that family in the past 25 years is a shame. They, in my opinion, have dirtied the position they hold. Drugs, sex, scandals galore. Not much to speak of in the personal conduct side. And, this woman is pregnant at the time of the wedding. A “musket” wedding? :-)

Their Royals are no more immoral than some of our elected offcials so who are we to cast stones?

These two young people shouldn't be judged by what others have done!

Though I didn’t care for the bouquet - too sparce and too understated - Needed a few white accent flowers.

Ever single petal had a meaning - It wasn't just for 'show'

myrtle, ivy, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth. Each flower has different meanings.

The lily-of-valley represents the return of happiness; sweet William means gallantry; hyacinth is for the constancy of love. Both ivy and myrtle represent both love and marriage. And the myrtle was from a bush the Queen Victoria planted in 1845 - It has a long tradition in Royal Weddings.

Princess Catherine's bouquet was Quiet elegance.

“And, this woman is pregnant at the time of the wedding.”

Is Kate pregnant?

they do not 'rule."

Won't comment on the rest of your nasty commentary except to say: "You must be real fun to live with."
