For as much as Bachmann is painted as a radical or extreme she comes across to me as about as policy wonkish as anyone in the GOP. What other candidate or possible candidate is talking with this much specificity? This is what we need. I'd love Bachmann to get in. Even if she doesn't have a chinaman's chance in hell if this is where she forces the debate to go, if these are the issues she forces all GOP candidates to talk about and take positions on that is a good thing. And who knows what might happen. If a nobody like Obama can make it to the white house anyone can.

Extreme = anyone who does not adopt a far left position.
We need extreme.

Works for me. Now if only Mrs Bachmann would officially get it the hunt.

That list paints with a very broad brush. But, like you said, it’s the most complete platform put forward so far. May this serve as a kick in the ass to the other candidates!
Michele BUMP. Plain talk. Straight talk.

This is a good start, but only a start. There must also be cuts in non-discretionary spending, protection of the border etc. If she runs, she has my support.

None that I have see so far. Most of the other candidates are dealing in sound bites and platitudes.

She needs to say something about borders and illegal immigration. Probably already has.

25% cut in federal discretionary spending (or 38 Billion).

She already has a job to do in congress. Couldn’t she possibly spend a little time on that? She certainly hasn’t done very much to get Boehner in line or to fight the constant cave-ins taking place in congress—again.
That’s what she was elected for, and instead she’s running around smiling at the cameras and completely neglecting her job.
Her campaign has been bugging me with phone calls the past couple of days, because I donated last year to support her for congress. I just told them I don’t take phone solicitations, and I’m wondering if I made a mistake donating to her congressional campaign.

This is awesome. Looks like a Maggie Thatcher platform. Its what the economy needs.
To: ejdrapes
I like the platform except that it has both an income tax AND a consumption tax. No, no, NO! Adoption of a consumption tax MUST be tied to the elimination of the income tax, otherwise we’ll have both, and that’s worse than what we have now.

I think the field will narrow pretty quick. It’s getting to be all about “why spend the money”.

I do like MB a lot, but I find myself wondering who would be interested in buying Fannie and Freddie if they own all the “toxic assets”? (I guess maybe we could sell them to China if we agreed to resurrect the concept of debtors’ prisons.)

Wow, great platform! Now if we could just sweet talk em' into running together:
I'm serious. Which two possible runners have more conservative principles, values, goals and are true Americans? Read the wishy-washy moderate Rinoesque platforms of the others? Sarah and Michele are the Real Deal! Conservatives Win Elections!
