THEY CAN’T HAVE THEIR WEAPONS LOADED??? That’s insane! It isn’t at all unusual for me to carry a loaded weapon, around the house. These guys are in a WAR ZONE! Whomever came up with rules like this needs to be either court-martialed or impeached!(whichever is applicable)
If we need to fight wars, they need to be won, and that should be the end of it. This open ended scenario is madness. We have our guys over there setup to be target practice for the enemy while we play a game of ‘nation building’.

A son of a friend is a Coast Guard officer on duty on a cutter intercepting drug runners and such off the East Coast. He’s a gun enthusiast, went down with his folks and I to Front Site for training, etc, and yet the whole Coast Guard organization is VERY anti-gun in attitude and training. He’s disgusted with the whole thing.
On his cutter, intercepting potentially armed and hostile boats every week, only he and one woman, who hates guns, and can’t shoot worth a lick, are supposed to arm in the event of need. But, they can’t do so until it is proven that there are armed hostiles on the boat! Then they have to get the Captain to give an order to some other guy who has the keys to the gun locker, and he goes down and issues them the weapons after some sort of sign-out procedure. I forget exactly, but the gun is some lame model pistol, there are ammo restrictions, and the usual reporting/accounting hassles. He’s appalled, amused and scared to death all at the same time.
He wonders what he’s doing there. He wonders how much his likelihood of survival has been puposefully reduced, and to satisfy whom, and for what purpose.
The only upside to this sort of ROE nonsense is the wishful thinking that, when TSHTF, the LEOs and AD military turned against US citizens may be constrained by the same nonsense, and they will easily lose. Somehow, though, whereas Muslim terrorists, and Mexican drug soldiers, and Black looters, and Latino gang bangers are being offered such restrictive ROE, I doubt those of us White patriots will be afforded the same. WE are the real enemy in the minds of the elitist global powers, and we will be shown no mercy. That is the one war they will fight to win.

Anyone watching out for our troops? Anyone? Why should this story be a surprise to anyone? The new ROE that bamba put in place have provided “first shot” etc advantage to the enemy for 2 years now. The laugh and take full advantage of it.

(Now a thread on O.J> or Paris Hilton, etc - will go on for hundreds of posts. Do I sound cynical? You betcha - with good cause.) Although this thread has garnered more posts, by far, than others on this subject. Waking up after 2 years?
The ROE over there should be ‘depopulate the entire islamic zone from Africa to Indonesia’. Anything less is insanity. We have the tools to do it and every possible motivation, but we’re spineless.
