Listening to Col David Hunt (Retired) on Fox right now explaining how the rules of engagement did not permit the Americans the Afghan pilot killed to have loaded weapons on base. The angry pilot simply shot them execution style after he left the meeting and retrieved a loaded firearm from his office.
Have any of you heard this before? I am outraged.

Nobody carries loaded weapons on the FOB. You always carry in “green” status. You’re supposed to always have your assigned weapon and a single magazine on you at all times, but the weapon is not to be loaded.
It’s a safety issue, it has nothing to do with ROE.
Calm down.
Anyone who votes for Obama next year will have the blood of our soldiers on their hands!

NINE people should be trained to overwhelm an attacker, RATHER THAN SUBMITTING TO EXECUTION!!

At some time, someone must have run the statistics on casualties resulting from accidental discharges vs. casualties from the bad guys.
Nope. Hunt was clear: They were NOT allowed loaded weapons and it was NOT a matter of just putting a round in the chamber. Good LORD sir, give our military SOME credit. If NINE American soldiers were in a room and a guy walks in with a handgun and tells them to drop their firearms and get against the wall, DON’T you think all NINE of them would say F you, have a round chambered in 1/2 of a second? Sheese.
This is what bothered me from the gitgo on this story. I KNEW there was more to it than this. I can’t picture a single American soldier KNOWING that once he is disarmed he is dead. Do you think they train our soldiers to drop their weapons when confronted? If you do, you need to go back to training.
It is not a "weapon" without bullets. It is an oversized paperweight.

The NINE were not “ambushed”. They were lined up and shot execution style. They were NOT allowed firearms on or near their person. Obviously nobody asked the Afghan pilot if he was obeying the rules because he simply walked back to his office and retrieved a loaded handgun.
It is not a weapon UNTIL it is loaded.
How on earth do 9 people submit to execution like this. If they all rushed the guy with chairs and threw things at him, may one or two would have died.

There were far more in the room than the 9 the killer shot. According to reports, many trainers leaped out of the windows to escape which tells me THEY WERE NOT allowed to have a firearm there PERIOD. Out of a room full of Americans, IN YOUR WORLD, not a single COMBAT TRAINED American soldier ducked down, pulled his magazine and handgun from his belt slammed the magazine home, chambered a round, and returned fire......
This is the politically correct way of fighting a war. We win their hearts and minds and everyone (?) lives peacefully ever afterward/s The is some of the biggest BS that I have heard about lately.
Maybe these 9 were still shell shocked from their forced “DADT Repealed” diversity acceptance training...
Under Obama, they probably have been forced to receive more hours in diversity training than defending themselves in combat.
