The recent decision by Standard & Poor's to reduce the forecast of their rating of U.S. debt has forced a reevaluation of all the candidates for President now jockeying for position in the Republican field.
I am well aware that Governor Chris Christie has been encouraged to consider running for President of the United States, and he has been consistent, admirably consistent in fact, in stating that he will not run. He has said that he feels an obligation to New Jersey voters to fulfill the term of office to which he was elected, and to do what he thinks is best for the people of New Jersey.
Again, these are truly admirable positions, and I really respect his views on them.
Please allow me to point out one fact that, while obvious, still needs to be occasionally aired out and examined. If the United States should effectively become a third world nation (and there is every indication of that actually occurring in the not too distant future) the State of New Jersey will not be exempt from that disaster. The devaluation of our currency that has resulted from out of control spending and borrowing applies to all our money. Again, the money that people put in their savings accounts in New Jersey is not specially protected. It is not worth more than the money of our fellow citizens in New Mexico, or Illinois or Oregon.
Because of the mismanagement of our government and the ideological basis for what passes as leadership in Washington, decisions have been made to prevent drilling for domestic supplies of energy. When these decisions are coupled the so called "quantitative easing" of the money supply and the unrest in the Middle East, not only do energy costs soar, but the ripple effect

No one has an obligation to run.
It is quite possible that some of these candidates, everyone is “begging” to run, have great big old skeletons in their closets they don’t want to come jumping out... say in Oct. 2012.
Christie is definately one of them.
Google: TODD CHRISTIE, NJ
Is that what we really want? Someone who KNOWS they have hidden junk and lose because of an Oct. surprise?
It is one thing to disagree respectfully with their beliefs; it is another to go off on a tangent (much like the phony, Ruling Class MORON RINOS, Rove & Krauthammer) and attack them as personally and visciously as she has.
My thought, too.
No he does not.
Nothing will do more to accelerate this nation's slide into a Third World sh!t-hole than electing a president from east of the Delaware River. Third World? Many parts of that region are already there.
From what I read, Todd is Chris’ brother. He sold his investment firm in 2000 and at some point was implicated in a Fed fraud investigation, but nothing appears to have come of it. His firm did pay a fine.
If Christie can be taken down because his brother might not be the most ethical person on Wall Street, then Christie doesnt have a very good campaign and the voters really are as dumb as they appeared in 08.
That’s all we need — another Big Gov’t Conservative.
Lemmie see,now:
Anti-gun
pro-illegal immigration/immigrant
LOVES cap-n-trade.
ADORES muzzies
Loves sharia law and appoints its judges
abortion galore
Yeah, but he will fight the teachers union?? NOT ENOUGH FOR ME, THANKS.
Compared to all the mini me’s in the running like Mitt, Newt, Huckster, etc, Christie is a real deal choice.
Just say NO to RINO crap.
Christie has the straight talk of Trump without the liabilities of his past and buffoonery.
Yes its going to be a RINO year and we don’t need to add another one to the campaign. Christie is conservative for NJ but RINO in the rest of the country.
If he does run, I will not vote for the gun-grabber. Christie obviously does not believe the 2nd Amendment says what it says, and if he is determined to infringe it like he is in NJ, he is an oathbreaker before he even takes the sacred Oath.
He hasn’t done anything yet here in New Jersey. He’s not ready for The White House.
