HOUSTON - He's being called a rapist in blue: A Houston Police officer could be going to prison for a very long time.
It was last year when 26-year-old Demetrie Dixon was arrested for sexually assaulting at least 2 prostitutes near West 34th Street in northwest Houston.
Dixon, a 2-year veteran of the Houston Police Department, used his authority to detain and sexually assault the hookers, investigators said.
Friday morning, a Harris County jury returned a guilty verdict on 2 counts of Sexual Assault against the rookie cop.
Prosecutors paraded a string of street walkers into the court to tell how they were victimized by Dixon.

I found a Dept of Justice study on LE behavior. The study was specifically focused on use of force. As I recall the study found the use of force was most often misused when force was used.
They also found that 56% of officers admitted they would cover up the crime of a coworker.
I need to find that study again.
“I believe the problem is at the top, with elected officials ...”
I think thats also the problem with the over use of swat teams. They’ve built a system that is inherently disfunctional.
Not sure what his picture has to do with anything.
I don’t view his posts as hatred of law enforcement but more like sunshine on corruption that exists and ignored by fellow brother officers. Anytime there is a story about bad cops, the poster is labeled as a cop hater. Instead the responder should focus their disgust on the criminal rather than the poster of the story. Yet, that typical thin blue line mentality of knee jerk protection of criminal behavior always kicks in — got to silence those who discuss it.
Another one of those wonderful authority figures. LMAO
It's information. Why is information a bad thing?
No, clearly the implication with his comment “shocker” is the cops race has something to do with this story.
Any and all cops should have background checks before they are hired and on a regular basis.
It remains the responsibility of the GOOD to root out the bad. The bad will consistently get the headlines and tarnish all the good of the respective category.
“Political correctness makes the situation worse, especially when unions or affirmative action policy are involved.”
Sure, and racism by anyone doesn’t improve the situation. This guy was a bad apple who probably should never have been a cop. Perhaps he was hired through affirmative action, perhaps not but to imply this scumbag committed the crime because he is black is not beneficial.
Cops are in a position of trust and deserve support but also a close eye to make sure they do not abuse that trust.
Well, it shows he might not have had to use a gun to get sex. Looks like he could have charmed some of those hookers into the deal.
In my 28 years as a police officer, I have only known two officers that were corrupt and both were caught by their peers.
May ask how long go you were a cop?
What a bunch of crap.
It's really a RED BAND of unionist, leftist ideology whose primary purpose is to guarantee a voting segment for the Democratic Party.
Here, in your well earned retirement after those tough 28 years on the job, read about your comrades all over the country at Injustice Everywhere.
