U.S. Congressman Dan Boren issued the following statement regarding President Obamas letter today requesting Congressional leaders eliminate tax provisions that are absolutely critical for domestic oil and gas production for thousands of independent producers across the nation.
President Obama is completely uninformed about the oil and gas industry. The industry is not made up of just major companies. It is made up of small independent firms like those in Oklahoma that produce a vast majority of our domestic production. For every CEO of a major company, there are literally thousands of blue collar jobs that are affected by his administration's energy policy. It is a policy that is very inadequate and has left so many on the gulf coast unemployed. Americans are tired of empty rhetoric on both sides and want a real plan. If the President doesn't want to stand up and be a leader, then his silence would be appreciated from people who are trying to find solutions.
So while this isn't Anthony WEINER, I think it is a significant shift...and, for once, a Democrat speaks the truth about BO's total ignorance of how the private sector works.
"If the President doesn't want to stand up and be a leader, then his silence would be appreciated from people who are trying to find solutions.
LOL. I wonder if BO is going to do some fundraising for Boren.....
First democrat to speak out since Zell Miller....It's been a while.
Heard Born yesterday. He told it straight up. Obama is incompetent and unqualified to be President. Period.
I’ve long predicted that Boren will cross the aisle..
Governor/Senator Boren is an old time Dem. Intelligent and pragmatic, you didn’t always agree with him but you always respected him.
The Zero on the other hand like those of his ilk...
“If the President doesn’t want to stand up and be a leader, then his silence would be appreciated from people who are trying to find solutions.
Did a democrat just tell his President to lead, follow or get the hell out of the way?
BO campaigning for Boren would be a big help.... if Boren was running for the Washington DC district.
Granted, he IS from Oklahoma...but he is ALSO a Democrat with at 49 lifetime rating from the ACU. “ ————————
Boren is throwing the prez overboard for Boren. Oklahoma is seriously conservative and Boren is the odd man out. Glad you pointed out the Club for Growth numbers on Boren’s Lefty history and his recent shiftiness to the right.
Boren has been all crickets when it comes to Obama and oil....until now that the WON has shut off supply. What a flak turned panderer.
Uninformed, what a pant load, everything he does is intentional.
If the President doesn’t want to stand up and be a leader, then his silence would be appreciated from people who are trying to find solutions.
Amen.
SSSSLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAP!
Obama was just relegated to being a “punk ass bitch”.
Wow..right between the eyes. God bless those democrats willing to stand up to Obama’s epic failings and socialist plans. We might just be able to save this country after all if enough dems and independents realize that Obama is out to destroy this country. This is not a choice between simple policy differences anymore. It’s a choice between whether this great country survives or literally fails.
No, Obama says “get rid of your beater and buy a hybrid”. Obama thinks cars get 8 miles per gallon if they aren’t electric. Such a dope.
I disagree with him. I believe the president knows a lot about the oil and gas industry. Otherwise, how could he do such a good job of screwing it up? To quote Auric Goldfinger, Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.
That’s what ticks me off about these Democrats and liberals. They are not guided by core, lasting, objective principles. Their self interest makes them conservative if it serves their self interest and liberal if it serves their self interest. In the end, they are completely unreliable. When Boren or others feel they can be reelected without the help of oil, then they will switch sides.
Yea pretty much the democrat party has been taken over by the socialist democrat party. Many years ago and is not the same democrat party that it was when I was a kid.
Wish Republicans would talk like that!
One in particular has a grasp of the industry. :)
