It’s not just oil. This “wetlands” thing is TOTAL control over property. They are preventing people from doing ANYTHING to their property and destroying people with multi-million dollar fines, taking their property. The EPA is a NIGHTMARE.
This is becoming more like the old Russia more every day.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
If you have a puddle on a dirt driveway that never goes away it’s considered a Wet land.
I live on a lake in GA. Thankfully Georgia Power manages this lake but the army corps manages the lakes that feed me and manage the Chatahooche river. I love the Army but they are clueless on “dam” management down here.
These proposals by the EPA with the corps as enforcers would be a disaster down here as far as use and enjoyment. And the EPA hasn’t got the slightest on-the-ground knowledge. Meetings I’ve been to with them in attendance feature snarky feminist eco nuts intent on protecting some damn inedible clam that lives in shoreline sludge - at the expense of any humans. A pox on all of them.

I used to know a gal whose house was on the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Small township. Her kid’s sandbox and swingset were in the side yard. The township re-graded the swale on her side of the street. Due to that re-grading, her side yard filled with runoff every time it rained. She had dirt hauled in to raise the level, and planted new grass. The EPA came down on her like a ton of bricks.
Anyone trying to take my land over some EPA water rule will have to take all my ammo first, in the manner in which I choose.
