So meaningful, especially after just viewing The King's Speech, with its beautiful portrayal of their loving, father-daughter relationship.
You’re right .. I saw that and really learned
about the goodness of King George. So, it is
indeed very very special. If true, the movie
portrayed a lovely family and a father who
dearly adored his daughters and his wife.
I was just going through this thread to see if anyone commented on Shep Smith.
I was thinking that he was rude and obnoxious enough to be fired.
He seemed to be trying to get it across how stupid he thought the whole thing was. I couldn’t help but wonder if FOX had intentionally put him there to appease those who hold the same opinion as O’Reilly, the anti-royal group. Clearly Martha McCallum was uncomfortable with his stupidity.
What a smart-mouthed, crude, juvenile little punk Smith was this morning.
Yes, good for him. The bride and bridesmaids could wear a nice bolero jacket or shrug during the Mass/church service and then remove it outside of church for the reception.
Argh! I missed it because my kids took over the TV!!! Argh!
Gretchen said she would be in the Abbey but don't recall if she explained further (reporter or guest).
“The first family is scheduled to continue on to Cape Canaveral in Florida after Alabama to view the launch of the space shuttle Endeavor”
I’ll bet good money on 2 things.
The only reason he is stopping in AL today is because he was already going to FL. He could care less about those people.
The only reason he dragged the whole family to FL today was to try and get press for himself, and away from the wedding that he did not receive an invite to. I’m sure reason 1 didn’t hurt the plan.
He his truly a small and evil person to try and upstage a wedding because he isn’t there.
Well, he told me. He really did not have to worry about me. I always dress conservatively. I was older then the average bride.
More great pics here.
OMG .. look at the face on the little girl next to Kate on the balcony ... LOL ..
One of my fave shows is “Say Yes to the Dress”. I am just shocked at some of the crap that these brides want to wear today.
I’ve seen these wedding dresses that are like some kind of net over the torso with some kind of “boning” that makes the top of the dress resemble a corset.
It’s just ugly as it is much less supposed to be a wedding dress.
And they all want these “sweetheart” necklines or strapless. I mean, dag, you’d think on your wedding day you’d have a little modesty. This is not some kind of day that you want to make all the males pant and drool for God’s sake.
Kate’s dress was very appropriate for a wedding. I liked it for its simple beauty and it sure seemed to be tailored quite well. Still, it did not have a wow factor that, I dunno, maybe I was expecting from such a high society bride.
But then I thought Princess Diana’s dress was absurd with the lengths it went overboard.
Too true.
wow that is really cool..
I am enjoying this thread SO MUCH
Me too Im so sick of strapless wedding dresses.
Cool car. But I always kinda wonder about a man that has his wife drive him around. Especially on their wedding day! ;)
The Getaway car — too cute!!!!
One can only imagine the need of these young people to just get free for a moment — great touch!!!
Yikes, I really need to get on with the day — this is too hard!
Beautifully and simply elegant .. not ostentatious. She is tired .. has to have been a merry-go-round for weeks and weeks.
That Prince Harry looks like he is fun!
I didn't mean that what he said necessarily applied to you. I think that more priests should be clear about the requirement for modest dress in church (and not just for weddings).
