of the 5th annual BritWeek
at the British Consul General's residence in Los Angeles, Calif.
Of the six American Idol 10 contestants remaining, none impressed judge Jennifer López more than rock-and-roll fiend James Durbin.
Durbin, 21, had López dancing and smiling Wednesday night as he showed a softer, more romantic side while performing Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow."
"I thought from the beginning," said López excitedly, "it was magical.
"You had me moving here for the first time all night," she added. "You are going to be the star of the night with that [performance]. It was amazing for me.
It isn't the first time Durbin hear such praise from J.Lo and her fellow judges.
Just last week, López said Durbin's rendition of Muse's "Victorious" was "theatrically, the best performance." And of course, who could ever forget the Heavy Metal performance and the flaming piano from recent episodes.
"When I think back of every single week since we started with the Top 13, James has had a strong week every single week, López said. "He has not blown one week.

Best season ever after revamp of the show, best team of judges, very talented contestants, all stars in their own genre; but I strongly believe James will be chosen the winner of this season's American Idol.

Jacob the next to go.
He’ll be in the top 3 but unless he dies, Scotty will be ht winner.
I love James and Scotty. I think I want James to win but I guess I’d be okay with Scotty. I never watched before but I like Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler has grown on me. It’s a nice distraction.
The young Scotty was the best last night of all his other weeks.
I like Scotty, and he has a great future, but he kind of hit a wall for me about three weeks ago. I still like each performance, but it kind of is what it is now. I look forward to him as a performer, but kind over him as a contestant. Not sure who my favorite is now. Unless Haley is miraculously finally the one cut tonight, we are likely to lose a potential winner tonight.
I’m not a Scotty fan but I know he’s leading every week by a huge margin.
Go Scotty!!
Hope so...watching that freak hurts my eyeballs! I voted for Scotty online (my wife made me) and I like him alot but the last couple of weeks I thoght James was just outstanding and he was clearly the best last night, in my mind. I'm fairly certain that Scotty and James will be 1 and 2, but I'm boxing my exacta.
I love Scotty. He is a mix of Garth and George. I really don’t care if he wins Idol because he definately has a big future ahead of him in Country music.
I do not believe so.......He has been in the bottom 3 and had criticism for "not stretching". But he is still young.
I was just getting tired of the Elvis sound a like, that is why this week he broke that mold like the judges had been pushing him to do. He's young and needs more time to grow, but am not disputing he has a big fan base, but others before have won with far less talent never to be heard of again.
I also like Casey, pure talent, for his Blues renditions, as in his own interpretations of a song, ability to playing piano, guitar. many musical instruments, creativity in putting a stage show together--goes his own way, visualizes expertly how his show will play out. Very talented, he stretches his music.. but will his talent be appreciated by the Idol masses. Music changes and jazz does sell and can be longer lasting.
Scotty is the real deal. I have known his parents for years and remember when he was born. Scotty and his older sister are class A+++++ people - it is a result of Faith and good parenting. The McCreery family truly walk the walk.
Scotty and his family are authentic - it is not an act. Good people as we say here in NC.
Actually, Scotty has not been in the bottom 3 all year. He is a leading or the leading vote getter every week.
Haley has a great raspy voice as well..many of these contestants this year will go far! Haley has a great voice, and the on stage showmanship can come later; but maybe too late to be the next American Idol.
One contestant who was voted off March 31st had a great stage presence..Naima Adedapo.
Naima Adedapo - Dancing in the Street -- American Idol Top 11
Naima's showmanship [even more raggae] blows it away at the end...watch. Naima put her own show together.
...let's face it they all GOT Talent
FYI..... This is the live Idol thread. It is the second of the season, the first exceeded 10,000 posts before the new one was started. It will resume tonite as we learn who will leave.

True...they're all very good this year.
