SEOUL, April 28 (Reuters) - Reclusive North Korea has refused to make major concessions in talks with ex-U.S. President Jimmy Carter, insisting Washington provide some kind of security guarantee in return for giving up its nuclear weapons programme, the former leader said in a blog.

Carter and three other former state leaders -- known as The Elders -- were due to leave Pyongyang on Thursday after a "private" visit aimed at defusing tensions on the peninsula, as well as discussing the impoverished North's pleas for food aid.

The North has said it wants to rejoin international aid-for-disarmament talks, which it walked out of over two years ago in anger over a new round of U.N. sanctions for its second nuclear test and a long-range missile test.

And just who bears the lion's share of responsibility for that?

I swear the NK's twist words and their meanings as good if not better than your average democrat politician.

Leftists love to twist words. Just watch the media, listen to Obama and Company.

We really should not be sending that POS Carter but instead someone like John Bolton.

Only in a libtard mind can “demand” and “beg” in the same paragraph be regarded as meaningful.

There are basically two political types of people:

Those that want to be left alone to live their lives and pursue their dreams ...

... and ...

Meddling busybodies who REFUSE to leave them alone.

Jimmy Carter is one of the latter.

It continues to amaze me how well this mutual support society of North Korea’s dictatorship and our loose-cannon looney liberal (but I repeat myself) works with the able assistance of the assisting MSM. Does anybody else get the feeling that whenever either side feels the need for an ego-boost or publicity, all that is needed is a phone call and visit!

I think we should provide North Korea a security guarantee. We should demand land in Pyongyang and other NK cities for us to build large US Army, Navy, and Air Force bases. Then we move all our US servicemembers to the NK bases, to provide 'security' to North Korea.

Then tell Lil' Kimmie that North Korea's security is now guaranteed... so disband their NK military, as it's now redundant.

In other words, call that "security guarantee" bluff.

Whoops! Meant to say, "move all our US servicemembers *from South Korea* to the NK bases".
