AP survey: Only oil shock can stop economy now

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The American economy is now strong enough to withstand Middle East turmoil and the Japanese nuclear crisis. Only a big rise in the price of oil could stop it now.

Those are the findings of an Associated Press survey of leading economists, who are increasingly confident in a recovery that is nearly two years old. They expect the economy to grow faster every quarter this year.

I had no idea he also used the name "Oil Shock"?

Stevie Dunham, Barry Soerretto, and Barack Huessein Obama, but "Oil Shock" is a good one. What social security number did he use under that name?

And that’s exactly what the Odumbo regime is trying to effect.

So, if the AP is reporting this, I suppose we start bombing Saudi Arabia tomorrow and declare a complete moratorium on all drilling in the US, right? I mean, if Zero knows that is the only thing from preventing our economy to recover, he’s got to do them, right??

Stop the economy from what? Oh that's right. This is (O)AP.

Gosh, the economy has been recovering for two years. Isn’t that about the same length of time Obama has been in control?

He must really be doing a good job. Too bad those awful Republicans let it get so bad before Dear Leader saved us.

Yup, and he's going to line his own pockets in the process. By 2016 Hussein will be as rich as the CLintoons — and for the same reason.

"survey of leading economists, ... "

Oh yeah. These are the same "leading economists" who are always expecting things that don't happen and not expecting things that do happen.

I really trust these "leading economists."

Right!

How many of them work in the White House? They seem to be forgetting one little thing.

Massive inflation and a dollar that is junk.

I’m glad for you’all that things are looking good. Here in Nevada, on the other hand, are looking more and more like the great depression.

We are in a depression and these nazis are telling the world everything is great... the economy is strong... as long as oil does not escalate in price... meanwhile for the 35th day in a row, the price of gas in America has gone up and up and up and up... and no end in sight.

I own a small business in California. The crash started in 2007 and continued down in 2008. The year 2009 was extremely weak with minor hope by the end of the year. The year 2010 saw a small profit finally. Now, 2011 is starting to look like a double dip. People in my industry are down 40% from 2006 and large numbers have folded. People like me can’t hold on forever. As far as the AP headline, it would be great if it is true, but I am extremely skeptical.

Typical AP bilge.

They're setting up the excuse for why the economy will tank and not be Steve Dunham's fault (even though it is his fault).

Yeah, another AP love note to Obama. He fixed everything, Yep, yep. When the economy doesn't recover, he'll blame oil companies - and George W. Bush. The economists will be shocked, shocked! And so the game of 'let's pretend' (Obama is a citizen and cares about America) continues from the AP. It's so old, so predictable and so false.
