Do we know if the Nordyke family recently requested that birth certificate, or is it the copy they’ve had since 1961? The reason I’m curious is because, in my Sunday newspaper last weekend, there was an article stating that no one, not even Obama, could obtain a copy of his long-form birth certificate now because Hawaii’s policy is not to release them. But if the Nordykes were able to obtain that copy recently, then that’s obviously a lie.

Of course, if Obama already has a long-form birth certificate in his possession, he needs to show it or explain the reason why not. There’s also the matter of all the money he’s spent to avoid showing it, and all the other questions and problems. So he’s still not off the hook, but I’m just curious.

It appears that the copy of the birth certificate pictured here was issued in 1966.

The Rats in charge of Hawaii state government just recently changed the rules to make it harder for anyone to obtain a true copy of their original birth certificate in the hopes that it would stymie efforts to obtain Obama's real one. The copy that the Nordyke family showed has been out on the web a couple of years and as someone said above the copy is dated 1966.

A totally specious claim. Hawaii (and every other state) will (must) release a copy of the original BC upon request by a principal.

This particular claim stems from a willful misunderstanding the mainstream media chose to adopt concerning the policy of restricting delivery to principals only (and not just anybody).

The actual document has to stay in the records vault, true enough. However, a certified copy of that document (like the Nordyke document) can be obtained for a minimal fee.

IMO - that article is an indication of the weakness of the position of those that want to conceal the records, and the complicity of the press.

The date the birth certificate was signed for release was May 5, 1966. The date of birth of Susan Nordyke was August 5, 1961, the day after Obama was born.
