The Enviro-Nuts are forcing a weird choice:
Intead of drilling in strongly regulated and protected US fields, they prefer to force production to come from unprotected dreck-filled environmental disasters like Lake Maricaibo and the Niger River Delta.
And then they tell us they “care about the planet.”

The EPA is all about destroying the American economy, and Ozombie is quite pleased.
We are supposed to be strangled into economic ruin, so that the idiots can implement their “green” economy.
Stuff you, EPA!!!

What the modeling showed was in communities like Kaktovik, Shells drilling would increase air pollution levels close to air quality standards, said Eric Grafe, Earthjustices lead attorney on the case.Well, I guess they need to adjust their modeling since the models right now don't even indicate that the "pollution" would exceed air quality standards. Maybe they can get a government grant to pay for them to fix their models.
But then again, maybe they don't have to do anything because the EPA accepts their word without question.

Laws passed by about 500 people in the Congress are not half as frightening as regulations passed by one prick heading an agency.

The EPAs appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project.
The EPA did not return repeated calls and e-mails. The Environmental Appeals Board has four members: Edward Reich, Charles Sheehan, Kathie Stein and Anna Wolgast. All are registered Democrats and Kathie Stein was an activist attorney for the Environmental Defense Fund. Members are appointed by the EPA administrator.******
The enviro-nazis are in are now in full-throat and total control of the EPA. The same deep ecology that was central to Nazi ideology has now consumed the EPA.
Either the EPA is defunded or they will destroy the American economy.

you never hear the oil co’s and their refineries
complain or take out ads about the way they are treated by the enviro;s.

How much in the way of emissions are created by the Nuclear-Powered Icebreakers that oil companies frequently use in the Artic?

The EPAs appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project. Simple fix, Shell should just offer to fund a new nuclear-powered Ice-breaker. Thus little-to-no greenhouse gas emissions and neatly implements Obama's desire for increased nuclear power.

The decision comes following a ruling by the EPAs Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits. Air permits? What's there downwind that breathes?
It couldn't be more clear: the goal is to halt domestic production so that the Bamster's buddies can feed off the American corpse.

To: thackney; All
I am waiting for one major corperation that decides in this regulatory environment that they can no longer be a "going foward" organization and closes down after the close of the bell some afternoon after 4 and distributes all remaining assets to shareholders and lets everyone go and shuts down all operations in a nano-second.
If it is an energy company, all the better...

The move has angered some in Congress and triggered a flurry of legislation aimed at stripping the EPA of its oil drilling oversight.Yes, I'm sure the pantywaists in the GOP will get cracking on this ASAP. Not.
