Just a bit only moments ago; the weather cleared up late in the day so our beach trip will have to be another day. By the time my son got around, the car was full of sleepy, fussy kids having spent Easter searching for eggs and gobbling treats at Tutu's and other friends' houses. He was packing his two plus his girl friend's one plus another so the visit was short.

He said something profound for a change; 'Now I know why you have grey in your hair'.

I have always been afraid of them.

I had an uncle who used to like to scare me by yelling “tornado”
when it was storming out. He was mean! LOL! But only in that way.
Otherwise, he was a favorite of mine. He just knew he could
get a rise outta me. It worked too. :)

I was on the phone with my brother in upstate NY earlier and the fuel prices came up. My gas price complaining was countered by his heating oil prices....so I said just fire up your wood stove and fireplace. He has cords of firewood left over from a rare tornado that passed through the Mid Hudson Valley years ago.

It didn't damage the house but it took out an ash tree ten feet away plus about ten trees in the front and back yards. It took a couple weeks to cut up and clear out the tangle of downed trees but inside the house not a dish was broken.

Go figure!

WOW.....60 degrees! The highest we've seen is 50. And sun, too?? It is so nice to see it.

Well, I was just a kid, but after all my screeching, I think the
whole family was reeealy wishing that he’d cut it out! LOL!

I was rather a skaredy-cat about a lot of things. I’ve gotten over it. :)

I hope you guys get rain sooner than we. *sigh*

We still have fires burning around the state and tomorrow
is supposed to be very windy again. That makes the threat
go way up.

We are day 3 into a solid week of rain...they are promising 9 inches all together.

We were already super saturated.

I wish I could send some of it west and south, but it is headed east and north.
