Conservative radio host and Fox News personality Glenn Beck fired back at Mike Huckabee on Friday, saying the former Arkansas governor was "co-opting" liberal talking points and should consider staying out the race if he's so "thin-skinned."
There are "really tough issues that real conservatives will have with Mike Huckabee," Beck said on his radio show of the politician, who's weighing another run for president in 2012.
"If, sir, you are this thin-skinned about your politics, it might be best for you to stay on the sidelines" and not run, he added.
It's the latest salvo in a week-long back-and-forth over comments from Beck calling Huckabee as a "progressive" because he had defended the first lady from criticism over her good-eating initiative.
Huckabee slapped back in a blog post and with his own radio show on Thursday, saying Beck had smeared him as a "nazi" and trashing the radio host.
Beck responded in kind on Friday, playing the clip of Huckabee excoriating him — and then lacing into the politician, point by point.
"First of all Mr. Huckabee, I did not realize that I had called all progressives 'nazis,' " Beck said on his own radio show. "I have said nazis have used progressive tactics....read Goebbels, he talks about it in his diaries."
Referring to the liberal watchdog "Media Matters," he said, "Interesting how you would go to 'Media Matters' talking points when you feel it would benefit you, Mr. Huckabee."

WoW .. missed this one. He takes Huck to the woodshed .. hard .. pretty stunning .. or maybe not, if Beck is gonna be all in for Romney. But then, the list there would be substantial. All the more reason to listen to his radio show in the am.

If Huck is a “progressive”, then Romney is Obama.
If Beck supports Romney, he will lose a great deal of his credibility with the entire conservative movement.
Listen to Glenn’s voice, watch his face ... woooo .. full throated, point by point and with contempt. Wonder if the Huck man will respond. I would think he’d have to.
I don’t care what anyone says, Beck is a man driven by desire, and he’s got it figured out. God bless him.

I hope the Huckster stays out of it. He seems like a nice fellow, totally unsuitable for carrying the conservative banner to the Presidency. If he wins we get someone really squishy and conservatives will be torn as we were under Bush. If he loses, the libs will go nutso saying the conservatives got shot down.
If we get to finally run a conservative this time, let’s run an actual conservative — there are several in the mix.
Meanwhile McCain is running around trying to bail Obama out of his fiasco in Libya...
