A transgender woman brutally beaten at a Baltimore County McDonald's spoke out on Saturday, saying that the attack was "definitely a hate crime" and that she's been afraid to leave the house ever since.
"They said, 'That's a dude, that's a dude and she's in the female bathroom,'" said Chrissy Lee Polis, who's 22 and said she stopped at the Rosedale restaurant to use the restroom. "They spit in my face."

Polis suffered cuts to her mouth and face, and said she had a seizure. She also admitted she was intoxicated at the time of the assault.

Polis, who said she had a sex change operation to become a woman, said this isn't the first time that she's been picked on — physically — because of her sexual identity. She said she's been subjected to beatings and even sexual assaults.

Her twin brother, Matty Polis, who also lives in Baltimore, said it's been painful to watch his sister have to endure these sorts of attacks.

Polis, who was raised by her grandmother in Dundalk and Essex, graduated from Chesapeake High and hasn't had a job or stable place to stay for the past two years, according to her mother, Angela Thomas. Polis believes race may have been a factor in her attack.

Polis, who has a criminal record that includes charges of prostitution and property destruction, said she plans to take legal action against the restaurant.
"My record's got nothing to do with what happened in McDonald's," she said. "Anyone in my predicament should not be afraid to walk the streets. They should not have to go into a restaurant and get gawked at and made fun of. They shouldn't be afraid to leave the house. It's just wrong."

I agree only with your statement that the perps should be jailed. The McDonalds employees should nt have interfered at all, they are in no way responsible for what took place. You are not required to interfere with someone /abusing another on the streets.....he weighs 275, you weigh 115...yeah, jump right in there....call911, o.k., but you are legally responsible for nothing......and file suit against McDonalds for all they own, yeah, that'll work out great....hope they have an attorney!!

There is no place in society for allowing mentally ill perverts into the public bathrooms of the opposite gender, used by our children regardless of how they dress, act, or mutilate themselves.
I do not condone violence such as this but the violence itself was intiated by a mentally ill person trying to engage society in an improper way.
If I found some pervert in the public bathroom where children are persent I would certainly be agitated greatly. And if anyone at all tried to defend them as having a right to pervert the public this way I would have a serious agitation problem with that person as well.

Well I think they should lock the 3 of them up.No way the Mister comes in the bathroom when me and my child in there.No way the girls should have extended it.
I am sure that beating someone will get you locked up but this sick freak needs to be locked up as well. There is no way that people such as this should be allowed near children or have to be dealt with in public.

I absolutely didn’t mean that the victim deserved to be beaten, mistreated or discriminated against in any way. I simply meant that the whole transgender movement is misguided. Instead of enabling these people to change their God-given gender, we should be counseling them to be who they are. Just because a man likes feminine things doesn’t mean he has to become feminine.

Maybe the best solution, considering the numerous permutations of gender that have evolved in the last few decades, would be for all public establishments to have only private unisex restrooms, one room per occupant. More expensive to be sure, but in the long run cheaper than settling lawsuits.
As for the employees; they should be held accountable in some meaningful fashion; but doubt they will.
(Remember the 'Security Guards' who watched a similar event at train station; where girl was unable to defend herself against a gang attack. (Despite her pleas; Security did nothing; and were not held accountable; even though they wore uniforms and badges; which at least implied, that they should.)

I respectfully disagree. There are dozens of times in life when someone deserves to get his butt beat, and good. Peeps who commit violent crimes, for instance, or property crimes.
While I am no big fan of violence, I do believe it has its place. Well, take that kid in Australia for instance, the one who was gettin picked on in school. He took it and took it, and finally had enough. He picked the bully up, and bodyslammed him. Oh, it was sweet! Was he justified? Absolutely. It also hopefully taught the bully a life lesson. There are thousands of other examples, but one will do for now.

Clearly a vicious crime was committed. That vicious crime probably began with women freaking out because of cognitive dissonance - clear characteristics of being male to start with.
So women freak out about a guy invading their space. How many hundreds of media talking points have set the stage for such a response? Seriously, American women of whatever ethnic group have been primed to respond aggressively against men.

Just reading the excerpt you posted, I cannot help but feel sorrow for this person. Only 22 years old and a life of nothing but pain and misery.
