A transgender woman brutally beaten at a Baltimore County McDonald's spoke out on Saturday, saying that the attack was "definitely a hate crime" and that she's been afraid to leave the house ever since.
"They said, 'That's a dude, that's a dude and she's in the female bathroom,'" said Chrissy Lee Polis, who's 22 and said she stopped at the Rosedale restaurant to use the restroom. "They spit in my face."

Polis suffered cuts to her mouth and face, and said she had a seizure. She also admitted she was intoxicated at the time of the assault.

Polis, who said she had a sex change operation to become a woman, said this isn't the first time that she's been picked on — physically — because of her sexual identity. She said she's been subjected to beatings and even sexual assaults.

Her twin brother, Matty Polis, who also lives in Baltimore, said it's been painful to watch his sister have to endure these sorts of attacks.

Polis, who was raised by her grandmother in Dundalk and Essex, graduated from Chesapeake High and hasn't had a job or stable place to stay for the past two years, according to her mother, Angela Thomas. Polis believes race may have been a factor in her attack.

Polis, who has a criminal record that includes charges of prostitution and property destruction, said she plans to take legal action against the restaurant.
"My record's got nothing to do with what happened in McDonald's," she said. "Anyone in my predicament should not be afraid to walk the streets. They should not have to go into a restaurant and get gawked at and made fun of. They shouldn't be afraid to leave the house. It's just wrong."

How many assaults have begun by men hiding in women’s restrooms? There may have been no homophobia or racism involved at all but self-protection mode.
He/she invites the gawking that’s the point. The physical abuse however is inexcusable:

This person has not held a job for 2 years. Looks like McTranny’s new job will be suing deep pockets McDonald’s.
I don’t know statics, but I check when I go into a public restroom. Doesn’t hurt to be vigilant. Haven’t had to beat up a transgender - person. I don’t care. That is not a woman and never will be. Genes speak louder then words.
I may not agree with her/his lifestyle, nor do I think the individual is the brightest bulb, but I do think the animals responsible should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
String up the brawlers and let them hang until they are dead.

I admit that dude didn’t deserve to get beat up, but....
well, I don’t know, maybe he did deserve it. LOL
Last night when I saw the video I was 100% horrified, now I’m 70% horrified and 30% amused. Shame on me...
We don’t string up folks for assault. jail time of two years plus five years probation and community service would be appropriate.

Anyone, for any reason, who defends or excuses the beating delivered by those animals is no more than an animal themselves.

Next time Crissy uses a public restroom, he/she should use the one that matches with what's inside his/her underwear. You're not a girl if your package says differently.
How does that matter? If you are beaten should we say he isn’t a she?
