McCain pushes heavier U.S. involvement in Libya (U.S. taxpayer may cover cost of McInsane's trip)

Benghazi, Libya (CNN) -- Libyan opposition leaders received a major morale boost Friday as a top U.S. senator made a surprise visit to the rebel stronghold of Benghazi and urged greater American involvement in the bloody campaign to oust longtime strongman Moammar Gadhafi.

The visit from Arizona Sen. John McCain came a day after the United States said it was deploying predator drones to Libya.

(snip)

He said he was against U.S. troops on the ground -- echoing Obama administration policy -- but argued that Western powers need to do more to "facilitate" the delivery of weapons and training for the rebels.

(snip)

The senator was greeted by a crowd of roughly 100 Libyans waving American flags.

"Thank you John McCain! Thank you Obama," people chanted. "Thank you America! We need freedom! Gadhafi go away!"

(snip)

Contacted by CNN, McCain's office declined to state how the senator's surprise trip was funded.

John McCain and his chubby daughter will soon be an entire chapter of a college abnormal psych book and its heritable properties.

Four dollars a gallon on Good Friday, no less. In some places it’ll be $5 on Memorial Day.

The American citizens in Arizona are being killed by illegal aliens and drug dealers. McCain has prevented the government from protecting Americans yet he is willing to waste billions of dollars and American lives in Libya.

Of course the taxpayers will pay for it. These people don’t go to the bathroom without charging it to the expense account

One would think that J McCain, having been a prisoner of war and all, would NOT be pushing for involvement in another war that does NOT belong to the U.S. Has he forgotten the mess we were in with Vietnam?

In other words:
McStupid falls for a bit of street theater that plays to his not inconsiderable vanity...

I don’t believe they voted him back in, the people who manipulated the computers that count the ballots did! Same thing iN Nevada with Reid.

I am not sure I buy the voting cheating/manipulation argument. Hayworth was not a great candidate and the people of Arizona were intellectually lazy is the more likely explanation.

When you seen the following happen time and again, you would believe it: Every time a Conservative is ahead in the vote count, the computer breaks down. When it comes back up, the liberal is way ahead! And don’t forget A.C.O.R.N.! They are very busy around voting time. Until we get back to voting in our precincts, and a human ballot count, we will never know who really won!

I remember people talking about that in Nevada in the Reid-Angle contest. That I can see given Reid's union goon connections but it still seems somewhat “sore grapes” to me. Again the GOP may have not gone with the best candidate, but the Nevada GOP made its choice and ran with what it had. But the McCain-Hayworth was a GOP primary fight! Are you trying to claim that ACORN or SEIU was allied with McCain? That I really don't buy! As bad McCain is, there is no evidence of that! As I remember Hayworth lost by quite a bit! And accepted the defeat, there was no challenge, which I am sure he would have done if there had been provable “shenanigans”
