MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin woman charged with making death threats to Republican state lawmakers has pleaded not guilty to charges, but has been barred from the Capitol building and is to have no contact with those involved.
Twenty-six year old Katherine Windels entered the plea to two misdemeanor counts of making threats over a computer and two felony counts of making bomb threats during an appearance in Dane County Circuit Court Thursday.
A criminal complaint alleges Windels threatened to shoot the senators and plant bombs around their houses and the Capitol because of their votes in favor of a bill curtailing collective bargaining rights for most state employees. A court commissioner set a signature bond on the condition that Windels doesn't use the Internet for anything other than work or school and doesn't visit the Capitol.

Katherine R. Windels, 26, of Cross Plains, stood silently as the court entered a not guilty plea to misdemeanor counts.
She is a 2010 graduate of Madison Area Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. On her PeekYou profile she lists Wexford Head Start as one of her work experiences. She also lists a place called The Red Caboose; a Google search turns up a Red Caboose in Madison for Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs.

Situation in Madison is getting ridiculous. Death threats, boycotts, bomb threats to the radio station, vulgar smear messages - - these people know no limits. This dopey woman is just typical, by no means the worst of the bunch and certainly not the only one.

Not considering which side she’s on in my response: threatening to kill someone is a sure way to get caught. If I wanted someone dead the only thing anyone would know about it was a news story the day after and no suspects. There would be no video’s of me dancing around with an AR-15 in my underwear, letters with fake white powder and a note with my return address, some post like this is all they will find - a shared sentiment with thousands of others just like me. I think this is why many of our corrupt politicians are starting to get nervous. So far it is just idiots like this woman and the guy in Arizona. They won’t be able to insulate themselves against what is coming if they choose to continue the course they are on.
