I hate when they compare President Reagan with anything. Donald Trump is in the entertainment industry just like President Reagan? Big deal. President Reagan was governor in California the 10th largest economy in the World. Why do people have to pick and chose what to compare President Reagan with. It is the same with comparing Trump and President Reagan had divorces.....big deal. President Reagan’s divorce to Jane Wyman was 40 years before he ran for President and he did not cheat on her and Jane Wyman was very positive about President Reagan when they asked her during the election hoping to get some negative crap to use against him....it did not work because President Reagan was a great Husband per Jane Wyman. They just went different directions in life. I wish people would stop using President Reagan for their own needs especially when they pick and chose what to use to make them look good.

“He may have been liberal about things 10 years ago, but that doesn’t mean he still is now.”

I’m sorry, but there is no Statute of Limitations on stupid boneheaded Liberal comments, like the one made as little as four years ago, when he said Bush was the worse President ever.
In your way of thinking, we should also give Romney a pass. After all his Massachusetts health care insurance reform law, was enacted waaaaay back in 2006. All water under the bridge now, Right?

It’s the lack of a conservative approach to monetary policy that caused the money problems in the first place. It’ll take a conservative approach to fix them.

In short, to get where we need to go, we need a conservative.

We need a POTUS that believes in the Constitution.

Until recently, I’ve seen little evidence that Donald Trump knows anything about the Constitution (or cares about it).

The eligibility issue is a poor reason to ignore a person’s entire political history (Trump).

The guy has supported Democrat after Democrat, including Hillary Clinton.

For anyone (especially FReepers) to all of a sudden think that Trump is the savior is NUTS.

Then, as President, he went on to sign the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act, which turned a recession into The Great Depression.

Geez...not another yoyo claiming “Smoot-Hawley Caused the Great Depression” nonsense

Any post referencing this is automatically nonsense

The Smoot-Hawley tariff was ended by FDR, John Maynard Keynes, and a bunch of other Liberals at Bretton Woods. You never hear a liberal Free Trader mention this

He’s not a viable candidate when one considers he gave Rahm $50,000 to use in his campaign for mayor of that cesspool known as Chicago.

I’m not saying we should give Trump a pass. I’m saying, he’s one to watch and see what he does. For all I know, he could be a wolf in sheeps clothing, another Perot, a manchurian candidate.

But he’s saying a lot of things I agree with and he’s saying them loudly. More than anyone else, for that matter.

And screw Romney....he’s not comparable to this, since he hasn’t changed his stance on anything, that I’ve seen.

I believe that too. But I think the base wants it in a guy who isn't on his third wife.

If you're worried about his wives, you're not worried enough about the state of our Country.

I will give him that. He is not PC at all, and I love that about him.

His frank talk has been a breath of fresh air.

But I am able to separate that from thinking I should vote for him.
