Immigration Activist Warns of 'Civil War'
CIS ^ | April 21, 2011 | Jerry Kammer

Juan Jose Gutierrez, the president of an immigration activist group called Vamos Unidos, predicts that hundreds of thousands of people will march in Los Angeles on May Day, demanding legalization for illegal immigrants. In an appearance Sunday on the Univision program "Al Punto", Gutierrez said that legalization is the only way out of the current policy stalemate. Expressing alarm that federal authorities have deported more than 800,000 illegal immigrants during the Obama administration, he warned that unless Congress passes immigration reform, mounting frustrations with enforcement of immigration laws could lead to violence. Here is an excerpt from his comments:

What is the country going to do? When are they going to start arresting – not 800,000 – all of us? When are they going to declare war on us? When will there be a civil war in this country? Is that what the country wants? Is that what the president wants? Is that what the leaders in Congress want? That there be conflicts like we had in the sixties, where the violence explodes? Because our people – it has to be said clearly – can't take any more.

In an apparent reference to total number of illegal immigrants arrested and removed from the country, through deportations carried out by ICE and "voluntary returns" carried out by the Border Patrol, Gutierrez then said:

We're talking about more than a million people that they have been deporting every year for more than 25 years. This doesn't happen anyplace in the world. We need to be grateful that it hasn't happened to more people here, taking into account what has happened in France with the immigrants, in Spain and in other countries where there has been real violence. And here there is still time to (solve the problem) civically.

Oh I don't think Americans are sick of that Talk, as matter of fact I am hearing it more and more.

What makes you think we will lose? There is more us than there are of them. WE will win.

Ir’s not a “civil war” when invaders from another country are involved against legal citizens. It’s just war. And considering that several million firearms and roughly a billion rounds of ammunition have been bought in this country in just the past few years by citizens, it’s a war that will be go very badly for the invaders.

On December 3, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Nelson Peacock, responding to request from several U.S. Senators, including Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), wrote: “Our conservative estimate suggests that ICE would require a budget of more than $135 billion to apprehend, detain and remove the nation’s entire illegal immigrant population.”

In July 2010, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released the results of a study which examined the costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local levels.

The study found that U.S. state and local governments shell out $84.2 billion annually in various services (law enforcement, schools, social services, etc.), with California taxpayers alone, spending $21 billion on illegal aliens every year.

The same study found that $29 billion is spent every year in federal funds on illegal aliens.

So, while it would cost a one-time fee of about $135 billion to deport every single illegal alien in the country, it is actually a bargain considering the fact that it already costs us $113 billion annually to keep them here.

In other words, the mass deportation would pay for itself in a little over a year.

Incidentally, in 2007, the DHS estimated the cost of deporting all illegal aliens to be approximately $94 billion.

Since we have this freedom killing gross monstrosity DHS on our hands, we might as well do what it suggests here, lne doesnt know when it will agree with the will of The People again!

Americans have had enough of this BS

The only way to end the murders in this country is to legalize murder.

It would not be a civil war. It would be a war of aggression by illegal invaders. And it would go poorly for the invaders...

You have got to be kidding. Obama has already signalled surrender.

Nope.
We’re going to make so miserable that you leave.
We going to fix the “anchor-baby” mistake and make it retro-active, so your kids won’t be citizens.
We’re going to cut you off from the “freebies” like education and medical that should be reserved for citizens and individual here lawfully.
We’re going make databases available to employers so they can check employee eligibility, the fine the hell out them if they hire an illegal.
We going to make being an illegal alien an aggravating circumstance you commit crimes.
We going to make it legal and moral to discriminate against you.
And that is just for starters...

If the Extremist Illegal Alien groups want Civil War...bring it on

Probably another issue the GOP and GOP Media will cave in on....just like they have on Obama Eligibility. Our GOP Media and GOP has already shown previously they value the rights of Illegal Aliens over the rights of American Citizens

Certainly there will be deaths on both sides (combatants and innocent alike), and I believe the federal government would surrender land rather than defend it - but that won't be the end of history.

This article certainly merits a CWII ping.

About the CWII Ping List

The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.

Of course sometimes this is merely a figure of speech, such as "The Tea Parties are fighting a civil war for the heart of the GOP". This would not merit a CWII ping.

On the other hand someone saying something like "The events in California are reminiscent of what happened in Yugoslavia in the period proceeding the Civil War" would merit a ping.

FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.

The correct keyword tag for the Civil War II ping list is "CWII".
Please Freep Mail me to get on the list
