Sarah Palin may be having some trouble with the voting demographic from her own home state of Alaska. According to results released Wednesday, the Dittman Research Corporation’s AlaskaPoll showed the former Governor and potential 2012 Presidential candidate rated at 61% unfavorably by a survey taken between March 3 and March 17th of approximately 400 Alaskans.

That’s assuming that an actual poll was even taken. What’s to stop them from “just making it up”?

"A small population state does not make a small opinion poll any more accurate."

Who said it did? I surely didn't.

What I did say is that a sample size of 400 isn't any less accurate than most national polls with respect to margin of error.

Alaska has couple hundred thousand Indians. Murkowski went to all the Native Corps and made all kinds of promises of money & investment in villages if they got her to have their dem Indians vote for her. Many Indians did. In some villages, every single dem registered voter voted for Murkowski. Of course none of them could write, so one person filled out all the ballots; kinda standard practice. Murkowski won by 12K votes I think. She didn't win the primary cause the INdians voted for dem candidate at that vote.

Ya got to open your eyes to see what's going on up here (the truth). We have to have the most crooked politicals found anywhere, here in Ak. People liked Palin because she cleaned it all up, while she was in power; no joke.

You’re leaving out the fact that Miller, a heavy underdog, actually beat the incumbent Murkowski in the Republican primary. I think Palin was largely responsible for that. What happened after that was that Miller ran a horrible campaign and committed political suicide when he tried , for whatever reason to distance himself from Palin.

Or the dumb ones who couldn’t see what was going on , nor see that she risked any future political ambition by doing what was right for them.

Look... take it for what it is. Do you think that after romney has been caught paying people and organizations to attack his opponents, that he had changed? No... he is still a pos liberal and would sell his soul for power...and has sold it for power. I do not care what you think of me or my opinions. Be constructive... prove my opinion to be wrong.

I would expect Palin’s candidate to beat Murkowski in a GOP primary. We are talking about statewide, and her guy lost to a write-in.

>> Only a douchebag would suggest that a sample size of 1 out of 1750, is statistically the same as a sample size of 400 out of 750K.

LOL - you’re obviously not a mathematician, nor a statistician. You’re too lazy.

"You’re too lazy."

You're right, that is rich and I can see why you have that nervous laugh.

You are free to post your opinions, all I’m saying is that you should name the source or note that it’s simply your opinion.

I’ve posted nothing about Romney and Palin keeps preaching to the choir - I’m concerned about those outside the choir that are needed to win.

That all could be true, but Palin appears to have huge negatives even in Alaska.

Small survey, probably conducted entirely in the region of Anchorage that is leftist-extremist “progressive”. I know two people who live in Alaska who tell me that Sarah is deeply appreciated in that state. They also would like to see an “open season” in Anchorage.

As I noted, small survey but the results are aligned with Palin’s continual small percentage in POTUS polls. She’s not gaining any followers and she’s been running for two years.

Did you read the comments below the article? Very informative. Based on the comments presented, this is a bogus poll. If everyone on FR voted for her 1,000 times, it would show her behind.

Murki’s win was a referendum on pork and the ghost of Ted Stevens.

This Dittman Poll is garbage, but let the PDSers cling to it in the vain hope that the crowds and buzz Palin generates is just a mirage. They are in denial now, but as she continues her inexorable march to the nomination, it will be fascinating to watch as their denial gives was to dejection and perhaps even to despair.

Dittman’s so-called poll has been thoroughly exposed as fraudulent:

“The Dittman Research & Communications Corporation, let out a doosie today.

In a poll of 400 “public-at-large” (and not Alaska residents as Amanda Coyne of the Alaska Dispatch claimed), Murkowski was determined to be well loved across the state and Palin was determined to be unliked.

The views of Alaskans, which encompass a diverse population of over 700,000 residents covering over 550,000 square miles of vast terrain, were somehow easily summarized by 400 “public at large” who answered their phone between March 3rd and March 17th, 2011. The survey, as is customary for this organization, fails to identify likely voters or registered voters. It fails to show sample size of republicans, democrats, and independents represented...

During the 2010 elections, this same organization took significant flack from conservative websites and continues to be often linked to by Alaskan liberal websites. They have also been quite wrong at times...

The new meme: “Palin=bad. Murkowski=good.” But please don’t ask difficult questions. We called 400 people who said they were in Alaska and that’s what they said, so it must be true. We don’t know anything about them, but we’re sure we’re right.” “

http://www.alaskans4palin.com/2011/04/newsflash-poorly-conducted-alaskan-poll.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I also recall a poll in the midst of the 1980 election cycle that showed Jimmy Carter beating Reagan IN California. Jerry Brown was the governor and the Senator was leftist Alan Cranston. They were pushing the meme that Reagan was so unpopular at home that he would lose the Golden State to Carter. Reagan won it by 17%, a razor thin margin (LOL) of 1.5 million votes.

If anyone thinks Palin wouldn’t clobber Obama in Alaska, they need to be hustled off to a rubber room FAST.
