From George Carlin:
CRIPPLES! Simple honest direct language. There’s no shame attached to the word cripple I can find in any dictionary. In fact it’s a word used in Bible translations. “Jesus healed the cripples.” Doesn’t take seven words to describe that condition. But we don’t have cripples in this country anymore. We have: the physically challenged. Is that a grotesque enough evasion for you? How about differently abled? I’ve heard them called that. Differently abled! You can’t even call these people handicapped anymore. They say: “We’re not handicapped, we’re handy capable!” These poor people have been bs’d by the system into believing that if you change the name of the condition somehow you’ll change the condition. Well hey cousin ... doesn’t happen! We have no more deaf people in this country. Hearing impaired. No more blind people. Partially-sighted or visually impaired. No more stupid people, everyone has a learning disorder. Or he’s minimally exceptional. How would you like to told that about your child. He’s minimally exceptional. Psychologists have actually started calling ugly people those with severe appearance deficits. It’s getting so bad that any day now I expect to hear a rape victim referred to as an unwilling sperm recipient!
And we have no more old people in this country. No more old people. We shipped them all away and we brought in these senior citizens. Isn’t that a typically American twentieth century phrase? Bloodless. Lifeless. No pulse in one of them. A senior citizen. But I’ve accepted that one. I’ve come to terms with it. I know it’s here to stay. We’ll never get rid of it. But the one I do resist. The one I keep resisting, is when they look at an old guy and say, “Look at him Dan, he’s ninety years young.” Imagine the fear of aging that reveals. To not even be able to use the word old to describe someone. To have to use an antonym. And fear of aging is natural. It’s universal, isn’t it? We all have that. No one wants to get old. No one wants to die. But we do. So we con ourselves. I started conning myself when I got in my forties. I’d look in the mirror and say, “Well...I guess I’m getting ...older.” Older sounds a little better than old, doesn’t it? Sounds like it might even last a little longer. I’m getting old. And it’s okay. Because thanks to our fear of death in this country I won’t have to die. I’ll pass away. Or I’ll expire, like a magazine subscription. If it happens in the hospital they’ll call it a terminal episode. The insurance company will refer to it as negative patient care outcome. And if it’s the result of malpractice they’ll say it was a therapeutic misadventure.
I’m telling ya, some of this language makes me want to vomit. Well, maybe not vomit ...
... makes me want to engage in an involuntary personal protein spill.
Better to be retarded than a liberal.
No doubt. He's probably got caked on shit and dried up sperm all over his keyboard.

These awards are so unfair. The people that should win never do. Where’s the award for best home canning of a Fetus? (This got a Blue Ribbon in the Connecticut State Fair) Where’s the award for scoring political points by exploiting dead baby Gabriel Santorum?”
One of the comments at that evil site. They’re a bunch of Eugenists.
Spoken like a true Nazi eugenicist!
Hoo boy. I can’t wait to hear what Dana has to say about this on her show this afternoon.
The problem is the tragedy of the condition, not the term used to “name” it.
Too many people think we can make the condition stop being tragic if we euphemize it enough.
Doesn’t work. Retardation is still a tragedy. As is blindness, deafness, paraplegia, etc.
The people suffering from these conditions are equal to any of us in God’s eyes, and they should be in ours. I believe to some extent the desire for euphemism comes from a refusal to acknowledge the existence of tragic conditions. We’ll just pretend they aren’t really tragic.
Unfortunately, you can’t be a liberal without also being retarded, at least in your maturity.
6.Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
7.And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

John 10:10
“The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

There are other similar references.
Satan is real, we are not to follow Satan. “Satan is the father of lies.”

John 8:44 American Standard bible
“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

The answer to the troubles of this life are told of in the Holy Bible and Jesus Christ.
LOL! That was brilliant.
I miss Carlin, even though he was a bitter atheist at the end.
Amen.
Retard has come to mean stupid. Retard means slow, noun or verb. Retardare is Latin for “to slow.” Rétard in French means slow.
It’s considered offensive, but it’s really just a word. Yes, in the sense of a sufferer of Down’s Syndrome, it’s appropriate. Is it insensitive? Depends on the person.
I’m tired of political correctness.
Yes, Trig is retarded, that’s not the issue.
This isn’t about PC, it’s about holding them to their own standard.
We should beat the snot out of them.
I’m sick and tired of tip-toeing through the tulips with these idiots. I’ve aggressively confronted Leftists at the office lately, and I’ve been lambasted for it. The thing I love about this is that management is all PC, so they have to “coach” me about “sensitivity.” This isn’t about sensitivity. I’m over it all.
It’s time to start firing back with the big guns. .50 cal over the hill, some 40mm shells, we need the major ammo in our arsenal. Enough with keeping the powder dry. The Leftists think we’re all pacifists. It’s time to show them that they’ve woken the bear, and it’s very, VERY pissed off.
Good for you. Thaks how it need to be handled.
And yet he’s still smarter than Harry Reid.
Make sure you let the National Downs Syndrome Society and the National Association for Downs Syndrome know about this attack on a child with Downs Syndrome as well as parents who chose life rather than aborting Trig. If someone has the juice perhaps they can force the NAG’s to make a statement about this kind of an attack on a woman and a defenseless child. Not much hope with the last one after all Sarah Palin isn’t human in their eyes let alone a woman and in their eyes Trig probably should have been aborted.
It’s almost as if that quote walked into my brain as I read this “article.” But it took you to place it before me. Thank you!
