Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Tuesday credited Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) for making "the right decision" with her veto of the so-called "birther bill," which would have required presidential candidates to submit their birth certificates in order to qualify for the ballot.

Legislation like this has been offered in a number of state legislatures across the country, driven by persistent speculation in some quarters that President Obama was not born in Hawaii. No similar law had gotten as far as a governor's desk, however.

I think you have a typo in that setup. Section 351 is what provides standing. It provides standing to voter and opponent alike.
I assumed that (it was a typo) when I composed my previous, and on second thought, decided it would be helpful to point out that 351 creates a right to challenge qualifications in court; and also prescribes timing, etc.
Trump isn’t an elected official.
Let me finish by noting that while Section -351 applies to voters and -242 denies them standing, it -242 does not expressly deprive a candidate of a challenge, nor does such a prohibition appear elsewhere.
Apart from his money, Trump isn’t much of anything.
