You can't make this stuff up, kids. Following their successful partnership with Levi Johnston, Playgirl magazine informs me they've set their sights on another young man with a Republican media star in his life: Lucas Bachmann, son of possible presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann.
"I'm reaching out to Lucas because when I researched him I was struck by how absolutely adorable he is," Playgirl spokesman Daniel Nardicio tells me. "Plus, I think his political ties make him even sexier. We've made initial contact, so let's see how it goes from there."
But the skin mag will have to move on to another politician's son (Mitt Romney has five to choose from!) because Bachmann, 28, has officially quashed the idea.
Reached for comment (over Facebook), Lucas confirmed to PopEater that Playgirl reached out and that he wasn't the least bit interested. For starters, the politician's son is currently a resident in psychiatry at the University of Connecticut.
"As you can certainly understand," Lucas wrote back to Daniel. "One must have a certain degree of anonymity when treating patients in the mental health community."
The Playgirl rep knew the odds were long. He told me that his staff scoffed when he mentioned the largely unknown Lucas as a potential cover boy, arguing that he would be impossible to get. Then he reminded them that he got Levi Johnston, Palin's almost-son-in-law.
"Lucas is principled, which is also really compelling for our readers," Daniel said.
What a dumb article. Perhaps Lucas could offer some psychiatric services to the author of theis piece.
He, already, turned it down, so this is a non-story.
At least LB is attractive.
I’ve always suspected that the media has been out hunting down every foster kid she ever helped hoping to find out dirt on her. I’m assuming, though, that this is her biological son. After Playgirl, can the awful Graydon Carter of Vanity Fair be far behind?
There’s one attempt to smear a conservative down the drain. Rest assured, the leftest media won’t give up.
“I got you Levi Johnston?” bhwaaa haaaa. Seriously, Levi would gone Playboy paying you. Levi is a scum bucket. I wouldnt necessarily call that a catch.
I’m just surprised Michelle has a son that is 28. Had no idea how old she was...She looks very good for her age.
Prove it!
That line gave me a chuckle, too.
Comparing Levi Johnson to what we can assume is a ‘normal’ person who happens to be Michelle Bachmann’s son is an insult. I can understand a very young Bristol Palin being attracted to Levi (he is nice looking), but has shown himself to e a total slug.
That should put Manchelle Obama in Playgirl. She looks like the right gender. Her husband not so much.
Playgirl....a gay man’s magazine with ads for feminine hygiene products.
Digging for dirt on another prominent Republican and lying about true intentions. These lowlifes are truly miserable characters.
And the sons of prominent Democrats that this rag is pursuing (or has pursued) are who exactly?
Or is it that they never have had an interest in that approach?
Hmm.
I wonder if there are any members of the MSM that are similarly vulnerable?
Oh, wait. I guess we know the answer. Andrew Breitbart's seen to that, as has James O'Keefe.
Kind of makes me feel better. I'll bet the lefties think that going after GOP candidate's children is justified after the way their side got pwned in the NPR funding scandal and the ACORN matter.
It also seems like the GOP ought to be able to turn this dynamic to their favor in some way, like saying "hey, vote for our candidates and the MSM will check into their backgrounds, unlike our opposition."
Democrats must all have ugly kids..............
Kid has better up bring than doing this.
"Lucas is principled, which is also really compelling for our readers why he turned us down," Daniel said.
Fixed.
