Donald Trump fired back at Karl Rove on Tuesday for labeling his possible White House bid a “joke,” saying the one-time senior adviser to President George W. Bush “should be ashamed of himself” for the role he played in pushing an agenda that turned voters against Republicans and paved the way for the Obama presidency.
Mr. Trump, the billionaire real estate developer and reality-TV-show star still weighing a 2012 race, said in an interview that the Republican brand was so tarnished after the Bush-Rove years that even “Abraham Lincoln couldn’t have beaten” President Obama in the 2008 presidential race.
“Honestly, Karl Rove ought to go back and start thinking about other things because what he did is, he gave us, indirectly through President Bush, he gave us Barack Obama,” Mr. Trump said in an interview on The Washington Times-affiliated “America's Morning News” radio show. “In all fairness to [Arizona Sen.] John McCain, nobody could have won that election because of what happened with Rove’s policies or Bush’s policies.”
In the wide-ranging interview, Mr. Trump also came out strongly against raising the federal debt ceiling, saying the debate over whether to raise the government’s borrowing limit was “the strongest negotiating point the Republicans have.”

I suspect as much, except Perot was more genuine and had a better record.
Beggars can't be choosers, I hear people talking about the wonderful candidates out there - great folks like Bachmann and West - who couldn't draw 40% of the vote against Obama even if they had ten years to make celebrities out of themselves. Right now...and even with a year and a half to go before the election...they can't find more than 10% of the voters who have even heard of them - and the only thing they will ever hear of them is what nastiness the MSM will paint all over them, just like they did to Palin.
Trump is already known by practically everyone, he doesn't need for people to figure out who he is...he's already as well-known as Obama is. Who else do we have that fits that bill? Romney? Palin? Both have been heavily damaged, Romney of his own making and Palin has been ultra-Borked. They can't Bork Trump - he's too damned well-known already.
Trump’s conversion could be fake. If so, his fake beliefs are better than the “true” beliefs of just about any of his Republican competitors. (Although I still favor Sarah.)

Karl Rove’s treasonous and Liberal ways paved the way for Barack Obama. In fact, the way Rove and the GOP are acting now...especially regarding OBama Eligibility....they are helping Obama win a second term

The last 2-3 years of the Bush presidency were an absolute disaster. Thanks in a large part to Rove advising Bush to appear “above it” while getting hammered in the media.

I am more concerned with GOP and GOP Media (Beck, Coulter, Breitbart) giving cover to Obama on the Eligibility issue than Trump changing from Liberal to Conservative. Be more wary of those who are turning liberal (Beck, Coulter, etc)...than those seeing the light
