My parents and older brothers allowed me access to guns when I was little.
Of course they also taught me how to handle them and mentioned that if I did without their approval I would be toast. Until I got older of course.
The pretty much did the same thing with other tools which could be dangerous if misused.
I guess I’m lucky to be alive.

Me. However, unlike the kid in this article... my kids have adult supervision while doing so. They were taught the rules, and the consequences, concerning most of the tools in our house.
I'm betting Mama's boyfriend left it out where the kids could get at it. Little thug-life/MS-13 wanna-be brought it to school to be "cool".

Put the freakin guns owner in jail for at least a year! Who allows a six year old access to a loaded gun? Chill out. He probably broke into someone else's house and stole it. Maybe a stretch, but it's an example where the gun owner wouldn't (shouldn't) be held responsible
