Yesterday, after a short political sabbatical, I cautiously dipped my toe back into the boiling porridge that now passes for public discourse. Drudge is always first, and it was there that I discovered that Palin had finally made it official: Shes running.
Was there ever a doubt? Talk about anti-climatic.
The big question in my mind was always this: Can she win? Her speech in Wisconsin answered that question for me. Sarah Barracudas reemergence finds her in full campaign mode and she is startlingly better than ever before. I know how Chris Matthews feels now.

QUOTE:
America doesnt need a Republican version of Obama
solutionism, it needs a female version of Ronald Reagan
conservatism. She will be the default Republican choice
for that reason alone. Her flaws are not flaws of character
or ideology, and in the end people dont choose a candidate
because they think that Lexington and Concord are in New
Hampshire, or that America has 57 States. People choose
because they trust.
De Tocqueville knew it was true about America, and I know
its true about Palin. Sarah is great because Sarah is good.
Weve tried everything else, lets try honest government
again
this time in heels.
I FOLLOW SARAH (Joan of Arc) PALIN!
SHE’S THE ONLY ONE LEADING!
Palin can win this thing. After Wisconsin there is no doubt. She is also the only one that has been doing the work all along. She takes the hits and keeps on going. Go Sarah!!
Where does it exactly say that she’s running?
” Yeah, she’s running. “ ============
You have to be kidding, right? And you deduce that from, er....what exactly? Has she even decided yet? Did she say so? Is it too early for her to say it? Is it too late for her to say it? Are we to just assume it? She has a campaign team together? Coy is cool for awhile but now her fans are left with nothing but extrapolating for conclusions that are just not there yet.
Packers, Walker, Ryan... just when living here in God’s country seems like it couldn’t get any better... along comes Sarah!
I would have loved to attend.
But I am somewhat comforted in the notion that I spent the day, geographically speaking, in the comfy space between Sarah’s rousing rally and Bachmann’s blessed border district.
Life is good.
Reading this story, I had an interesting thought.
Certainly any Republican candidate, and especially a conservative, will be subjected to venomous cruelty by the left.
The left has blown their wad, to use a vulgar metaphor myself. They’ve attacked Sarah for more than two years now with an amazing amount of slander. But the election is 18 months away. What’s left in their ammo bucket? I’d say very little except enraged screaming and obscenities, which don’t translate well on camera.
Normally, the left waits for the candidate to present himself before starting the slander. Their hatred of Sarah caused them to marshall their forces way too early.
In that regard, I’m also reminded of God hardening the heart of Pharaoh. The left has hard hearts. They’ll remain that way until 2013, when Palin is inaugurated, and they won’t realize until it is much too late how they’ve hurt themselves.
Just a thought.
Woh Nellie. Get a grip.
I agree but the left will never stop their vile attacks. Sarah Palin is a decent, good lady and they can’t stand her for that. We’re in a battle between good and evil and the sooner we all realize that, the better.
Did you use that little black ball thing to determine this???? LOL., not going to happen, which you say, I say neither.
>>>I agree but the left will never stop their vile attacks. Sarah Palin is a decent, good lady and they cant stand her for that. Were in a battle between good and evil and the sooner we all realize that, the better.<<<
Agreed. My thought is that those vile attacks can reach a saturation point, and we might just be at that moment of diminishing returns. I can only hope.

Let's hope we fight this campaign the right way this time!

Countdown until Obama leaves Office: 641 days as of April 19, 2011.
GAME ON! We certainly need some good news for a change. If she runs, we’ll have the fight of our lives! I’m so tired of listening and putting the facts before the Trump Chumps that are starting to resemble the Obamajad Chumps, I could puke.
It should be proportionate to the level of distress being felt throughout the country, since it will be a direct response to that distress...
...and that distress level is now historic. Palin could win by 20% over O'Bungwad. Maybe more.
Just a hunch.
Ummm... yeah. I hadn't heard or read anything from Palin that she's running. The last I heard was that she would announce when the time is right, possibly in June.
