Former Sarah Palin aide's tell-all coming to bookstores near you

Former Sarah Palin aide Frank Bailey is finally getting his tell-all book published.

While a transcript of the book leaked out to the press in February and took some of the thunder from its release, an imprint of Simon & Schuster announced Monday that it will publish “Blind Allegiance” on May 24.

Bailey paints a highly unflattering portrait of Palin in the book, quoting at length from emails from the former Alaska governor showing her intense focus on how the press covered her.

Though the book contains many embarrassing anecdotes for Palin, Bailey had struggled to get the book printed. He has been shopping a manuscript since late 2009, and analysts speculated that after the release of a leaked manuscript, the lengthy book heavy on insider Alaska politics would struggle to find an audience.

Bailey is an admittedly disgruntled ex-aide who feels as though he was unjustly sidelined as part of Palin’s operation. He worked for Palin during her term as governor and the 2008 presidential campaign.

So if he thinks so lowly of Sarah Palin, why didn’t he resigned out of principles? Sleaze balls like this guy never do that, they stay until they get fired and then they pretend to be victims.

While I love Sarah Palin and her message, I think this is one fault that she has. She has been too focused on answering every critic she has. It has made her appear small at times. She has to rise above her critics. She has not been able to do that yet.

Palin? No thanks. Tell-all books trashing Palin by an “insider”, spare me.

If you take a position of trust with a person to work for them, that trust doesn’t end the day the payroll checks stop.

If it’s a matter of law and you are required to answer truthfully, then of course do so. If you’re just trying to cash in by trashing someone who once trusted you, then I’m just not interested.

These books tell me more about the character of the person who wrote them than they do about the person they’re focused on, and that’s never good.

Er, we would be surprised that she has feet of clay like the rest of us? Even if most of it is true I still wouldn’t care.

I agree. I've said that in the past but was called a "Sarah Palin basher" even though at the time I was planning on voting for her and even now if she won the nomination I would gladly vote for her.

I really like her message too.

I’ll bet the publishers were having a major money war trying to get this one! Another disloyal SOB is going to make a lot of it, too!

oh, you mean like GWBush?

he never answered any charges... and they just kept piling on.

of course, according to you, he took the ‘high road’, all the while getting crushed in the media

i prefer people with the ability to defend themselves, as Sarah has proven repeatedly by toying with them or delivering solid messages. hell, she single handedly derailed 0bamacare using nothing but a keyboard and twitter.

elections are not won sipping tea poolside. they’re won in the local pubs, sports bars and work places.

"elections are not won sipping tea poolside. they’re won in the local pubs, sports bars and work places."

That's funny you used the comparison of George Bush to Sarah Palin and then have the above quote about how elections are won. Last time I checked, George Bush won election to the Presidency and re-election. Sarah Palin lost an election to the Vice Presidency and does not look to be running this time. Of course that could change.

So exactly how can Sarah lecture George Bush on winning elections? I personally prefer the example of Ronald Reagan. He had as many if not more critics than Sarah. He did not snipe back at them. He used humor oftentimes to disarm his critics.

As a Bush supporter, it felt weird to me that he never said a word to answer his critics leaving me to do all the work and twist in the wind. So, I’m glad to see Palin take them on, not all of them and not all the time, but at least enough so that those of us who support her are not doing it by ourselves.

I wish Karl Marx...er...Karl Rove...would just go away

I am no Palin fan...but a GOP under her influence is way way better than one under Karl Rove

If my candidate was running against Al Gore and John Kerry in general presidential elections....we would all be geniuses. Rove even managed to make Florida close for Bush...a state he should have won huge after the Elian Gonzalez kidnapping
