Club for Growth blasts Trump
Washington Times ^ | April 18, 2011 | Seth McLaughlin

The Club for Growth, an influential anti-spending group, is warning its followers that potential presidential candidate Donald Trump is a wolf in sheep's clothing - calling him just another "tax-hiking liberal" and a "king of protectionism" who doesn't deserve conservative support in the next election.

Mr. Trump has flirted with a presidential bid for several weeks, leveling stiff criticism of the Obama administration and riding doubts about the president's birth certificate, reviving the so-called "birther" controversy that many have considered a dead issue.

Sounds like a group of free traitor communist Chinese sympathizers. Does this "club" get $oro$ funding?

CFG is very pro-free-trade, which I generally used to be, but the last couple of years has made me think about it a bit more. Free trade is fine when it’s also fair, but it must not consist of one-sided deals like we have now.

This was exactly what Pat Buchanan was saying some 15 yrs ago. Also not to get entangled in these foreign wars. We would not be in over half of the problems if he would have won. As like Reagan, Sarah, even Nader - the One World Order, Transnationalists, etc doesn't own these individuals so they MUST be defeated & demeaned forever just to show what will futuristic happen if you run one not theirs.

The Club for Growth was founded in 1999 by Stephen Moore; a senior economist at the Joint Economic Committee and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute[4]. The organization called on candidates to return to Ronald Reagan’s conservative “vision of limited government and lower taxes.” [5]. In 2002, the organization raised $9.2 million for the 2002 campaigns, and in the 2004 election, the organization heavily campaigned for low tax candidates; spending a total of $20 million on behalf of GOP candidates. They aired a 30-second television commercial which depicted Democratic candidate, John Kerry as a spinning weather vane. To increase influence on sitting candidates after the 2004 election, the organization hired its first lobbyist. Soon after, former conservative Congressman, Patrick Toomey, replaced Stephen Moore as organization leader.

If you are talking about my post #18, it has been on several videos here on FR.

If you haven’t been listening to them, I can’t help you.

There have been some threads on here about a Trump-Soros connection but could not withstand scrutiny. Nice, big blaring headlines, tho.

Aparently, at one time, Soros’s financial group was a minor investor in a Trump project (20% or less, IIRC).

Trump donated to Hillary Clinton. And a whole passel of lib Dems, all of whom were in states where he has substantial business interests. Not a positive in a GOP primary.

When I asked, “Is there a Trump-Soros-Hillary connection?” you answered “No” in post #17 I just wondered if you have done any checking.

My apologies to you. I am really very, very sorry.

Again, please accept my apologies.

I have been receiving so much flack from all around, when putting on my flack vest a while ago, I found some bullets lodge in it from the last time.

“Is there a Trump-Soros-Hillary connection?”

To answer your question: Yes...Soros with the Clintons (and Bush) but not with Trump. I have found, but I cannot provide you with the article(s), which I read here on FR because I did not keep them. The Clintons and Bush 43 both received money from Soros. I have never read Donald getting money from Soros. Donald has his own money and does not need to be bought by Soros.

Once I read that Bush had received money from Soros, I realized why Bush didn’t take away his U.S. passport and citizenship.

Again, my apologies to you.

My very best to you; and again, I am sorry.

Here is what I found. I didn’t have much time to dig:
The Clintons have been longtime friends of George Soros. In fact, when Chelsea was married, Bill and Hillary stayed in the home of home of Eric and Andrea Colombel. Andrea Colombel is the daughter of billionaire financier and longtime Clinton supporter George Soros.

The site of the demolished Chicago Sun-Times building is having a 90 story tower being built by Trump. Investors will include Fortress Investment Group LLC Grove Capital LLP owned by George Soros. I wonder if they are able to separate the politics from the business?

So the Club for Destroying American in the ongoing trade war and class war doesn’t like Trump. I don’t care. The default’s going to depose the Club for Corporate Socialism: globalist traitors. Enjoy the ride. Have a rotten egg. Stuff the CFR, too.

“...he’d create “vast numbers of productive jobs”

I wonder how Mr. Trump would do that as Pres.? He seems to not understand how a free market works, and the role of the federal government.

What you write describes me exactly. Up until about 5 years ago I was staunchly pro free trade, but I’ve started to wake up.

"YEOW!!!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!"

Good night! I haven't got this kind of reaction since I stepped on my cat's tail.

Where there is smoke, there must be fire. I'm going to do a little more digging about The Donald.

The three minutes I've spent already was just to get the ball rolling for those who might want to do more homework than I had the other night.

Now I'll have more time.

“Good night! I haven’t got this kind of reaction since I stepped on my cat’s tail.”

LOL!!!

And that is why I need to escape quickly to the supermarket in the a.m. is because of my cats. They eat better than I do. The gods won’t forgive if I don’t have their favorite foods on the shelves or in the freezer. They have plenty right now...for a week at least, but they are so picky. (One cat only likes boiled chicken.)

“Where there is smoke, there must be fire. I’m going to do a little more digging about The Donald.”

I have no doubts. Thank you for the heads up.

I appreciate your kindness to me in view I was so rude to you in the beginning.

Tomorrow.

Here is a Free Republic post I found on the same subject about Trump’s 92-story Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago:

The comments are revealing; especially post #41.
