Trump was just brought on Cavuto over Obama's remarks today saying that the U.S. will not contain China's success for global economic dominance. Said he welcomes a trade war with China...that they are building mega-cities in China off of our backs.
Said what Obama said is the stupidest thing he has ever said and can you imagine if Reagan had said that? Never. Trump said get ready for $24.00 for a loaf of bread and $10.00 candy bars.
He was livid.

Sounds like he’s positioning himself for his presidential run.

"The Donald" should save the theatrics, better we tune out talking head blowhards and instead worry about getting our fiscal and monetary policy right.
Forty years or more of deficit spending, a swelling welfare state, anti-doemstic energy policy and funny money Federal Reserve schemes have done a 100 times more harm than China. Slash spending, phase out the federal welfare state, open up off shore drilling/oil shale deposits and stop monetizing debt. If we're willing to take this medicine, China won't be a concern. No need to scape goat someone else for what is largely our own fault.

Every time a read an article by Trump or listen to him speak, I am more and more impressed.
Once you get past the whole “The Donald” silliness, you realize he’s a tough fellow, with hard real-world experience and common sense.
He’d make an EXCELLENT Secretary of the Treasury. And he’d be a Patton as a US trade representative.

Trump is a fool when out of his element that is the Provence of Manhattan.
I think Niel flatters him to goad him on.

this is the same guy who spent a good chunk of the 1980’s going after the NFL for antitrust violations only to end up with a three dollar jury award.

Trump can be obnoxious but he knows all these guys in China and the Mideast. I’m sure he is right that they all laugh at us. Can you remove a sitting President for just being a dummass?

We could do worse than “the Donald” .... wait a minute,
WE HAVE.
In the current environment, he just might win. I've always liked him. No nonsense, says what means, no wallflower. He is definitely a patriot.
Read his book a number of years ago “The Art of the Deal”, maybe that is why I like him.

I agree with you LR, and to use bert's term, Trump's grand in his element. He's lived so much in the public eye, and not everything he's ever said and done is genius, but when he's good he's great. A very impressive man. For everyone's sake I hope he never runs for president.
To: My Favorite Headache
I don't trust Trump's ethics. But that doesn't mean he can't be right on this issue. And I think he is. China is seeing Obama weaken, and the wheeling and dealing China did with the Clintons is history. China will start calling in their markers; if not now, then soon. And that will hurt us a lot. Better now than later, before the pain can grow exponentially more.
