Her dance double for Black Swan has claimed that she did hardly any of the full body shots seen in the film.
And now it is claimed that Natalie Portman used yet another body double for her latest film Your Highness.
In fact, the actress is said to have avoided diving into an icy lake in Belfast and a local Irish girl was paid just £250 to take the plunge instead.

Why on earth are these actresses and actors paid so much if they are doing next to nothing but posing? That student could have gotten some serious health problems from jumping into an icy lake.

Haven’t seen either movie, but wouldn’t a body double also be used for nude scenes? For some reason I thought there might be nude scenes on both movies and Natalie Portman seems to be modest in that regard.

“That student could have gotten some serious health problems from jumping into an icy lake.”
Oh put!
Serious health problems?
We were raised in cold climate, and we liked it that way.
Cold water for baths, uphill both ways to school and barefoot till 21.
We never complained and lived to beat the nazi’s!!!/S
My grandma was never a wimp, like these wimps we have around us today.

You mean you did not know this has been going of for years, that is how stunt men and women make a living. Who was the blond bimbo on the TV show Dallas year ago, had match stick for legs, when they showed her legs and ass it was one of the stage women.

And Linda gray is the name of the woman whose legs you see in the graduate.

I remember very well the consequences when a leading actor was killed in the final filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie.
It delayed the film I think by at least two years and it was severely edited, the actor Vic Morrow was decapitated by the blades of a chopper along with a Vietnamese child actor.

From what I saw of Black Swan (thanks to a certain FReeper), the lesbian sex scene was pretty...yeah. Yet, there was talk about a body double in that film as well, so go figure.
In the film “Closer”, Nats plays a stripper and (at in least the versions I've seen) didn't show anything. Close (no pun intended), but no call.

That's a good point. I just finished watching the backup materials for the movie
Miracle, in which Kurt Russell plays the role of Herb Brooks in the story about the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team.
In an ESPN "roundtable" interview that is included in the DVD set, Russell said one of the biggest challenges they faced was dealing with potential injuries to the young hockey players in the various roles as players on the team. Even a not-so-serious injury would have had serious ramifications, since they would have to set back the filming schedule by days or weeks if a player got an obvious bruise or cut while filming one scene and then didn't have signs of the same injury for another scene that had been filmed previously but came in a later sequence in the movie.
I never even thought about that when I was watching the movie itself.

That picture of Natalie Portman with Hillary gives new meaning to the fact that Hillary is a cold shrew.
