Giuliani is scheduled to speak at Cornells convocation May 28 at Schoelkopf Stadium. His selection as the first Republican to speak at this Ivy League school follows a long list of Democrats since 1984. In 2010, the school selected then-Democratic U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
It is encouraging to see that theres a consideration of the other side, which I know a lot of us hadnt thought was the case, a member of the Cornell Republicans told the Cornell Daily Sun earlier this week.

I wonder if he’ll wear a dress.
Thanks Behind Liberal Lines. Cornell’s not fooling anyone.
The horror. There will be an earthquake in Ithaca over this.
A good sign that the students, also, are seeing the effects of liberalism/socialism?
It could have been worse; they could have chosen Snooki.
I know Rudy isn’t a true conservative, but he is an excellent choice for a commencement speaker. Very motivating and inspiring story.
So they’ll pick one token R and then go back to liberal wackos for the next 25 years.
If this is Ed’s metric for measuring the progress of conservatism, he’s desperate.
Maybe things will be looking up in Ithaca after all these years. Sure hope so for you and thousands of others who deplore what’s happened there. Any selection for the speaker yet at Ithaca College graduation? Wouldn’t that be a hoot if a conservative were also picked for that?
Never say never!
At least they picked somebody with a college degree this time. Our oldest graduated there two years ago and the speaker was David Plouffe, who has no degree. My kid is pretty non-political and she, along with many of her fellow grads, thought it was kind of insulting that that guy was chosen.
RINO nation
the leftists will probably burn down the school to protest
Giuliani’s a Republican? When did he switch?
Rudy’s a liberal and fits right in.
The speaker for my commencement was Byron Pitts from CBS. Was not as bad as I thought it would be, even had a few pro-US lines in his speech.
A few yeas earlier, Dr. Benjamin Carson spoke on campus (not commencement, just a guest speaker). That was most likely the token conservative they chose. A good portion on his speech was against socialized health care and American excellence.
Remember when the MD NAACP refused to allow Dr. Carson to speak, after he’d been invited ?
RINO, through and through; but, hey, gotta start somewhere!
