PHOENIX -- An Iraqi immigrant was sentenced Friday to 34½ years in an Arizona prison for running over and killing his 20-year-old daughter because she became too Westernized.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Roland Steinle told Faleh Hassan Almaleki that forgiveness is the core of all religion, but the judge said he was struck by Almaleki's apparent lack of remorse for killing Noor Almaleki.
The case caused outrage nationwide after prosecutors deemed it an "honor killing" because Faleh Almaleki had said his daughter dishonored his family.

Earlier this week, the “moderate” Muslim media guy in NY got 20+ for beheading his wife in yet another “honor killing.” Why not the death penalty? They were both clearly first degree murders.
The sub-headline should read: “Why in the he!! are we importing these people into our country?”

Better yet .. the headline about his sentencing referred to “TV executive who ...” and IIRC “murdered” The whole muzzie and beheading angle apparently wasn’t important to the story.
Sorry, my recollection was off. He got 25 years to life, meaning he may do ten years. And the headlines did mention beheading which, one supposes, is code for Muslim.
